Mailroom supplies - a straight-up review

Mailroom supplies are an integral part of any business, big or small. Many industries and small businesses rely on shipping items on a regular basis. The popularity of Internet shopping and auction sites like EBay have many people clamoring to their local post offices to gather the necessary mailroom supplies required to ship products suitably.

The cost of shipping products to buyers can be tempting. Business owners find themselves competing with other sites on the World Wide Web. They compete against catalogues and they compete against brick and mortar stores for clients. Using the right mailroom supplies can make the difference between making a one-time sale and having a repeat customer.

I once ordered an item from EBay and I was very motivated to find the product sloppily packaged in a used box. The seller used a low-grade masking tape in a vain attempt to secure the worn box. The careless package was such a turn-off that I almost sent it back without even trying to open it. I was pleased with the product, but the sender almost lost a sale simply because of the covering. I never ordered from her again, either. If the seller would have taken a little care in the packaging by using the right mailroom supplies I could have been a do again customer. However, I don’t want to risk delicate items to such a careless person.

Failing to use the right mailroom supplies can make the sender seem very unprofessional. This may be of no consequence to someone who knows that he is ordering from an amateur but it is good practice to make sure that products are packaged properly no matter if you are a business or an individual. You are also less likely to have returns and you are less likely to have complaints.

Nothing is more irritating than spending good money on shipping only to find your item sloppily packed in a careless way. Taking a little time to get the right equipment will make the difference between a happy customer and a possible complaint. You can find good mailroom supplies in a number of places.

You don’t have to make a special trip to the post office, either. The packaging items can be found on the Internet or even at your local dollar store. I have found great deals on mailroom supplies at discount dollar stores in my town. With the rising cost of shipping, it is good to know that there is a place to go to save money on packaging.

Qualities that entrepreneurs need

One of the biggest myths regarding starting your own business is that you are doomed to failure unless you have a natural aptitude or a natural talent for business. In other words, if you weren't born to be an entrepreneur, then you are going to be sunk before you even start. Needless to say, this is an untrue notion. While there are a number of skills that you absolutely have to be a successful businessman, there are ways for you to develop those skills along the way. Instead of those skills, what you need to be thinking about are the qualities inherent to all good entrepreneurs. There are some of them and there are some things you need to have, but if you are interested in starting a business chances are you have them already.

The first one is perseverance. Starting a business is like the exponential version of working on a project for school. When you are learning a new concept for that project, you are going to have to go slow, but steady. If you just start, do it for a bit and then leave it alone, you are going to fail the project. But if you start it and then keep at it little by little, you are going to end up with a successful final product. This is what you need to do in business; you need to keep at it until you get to the point of being successful.

In addition to perseverance, you need to have a thick skin. In the business world, you are going to meet a number of cut-throat individuals that would like nothing better than to see you fail so that they can succeed. While it is good to have business relationships with other companies, what is not so good is taking anything negative they say as the gospel and taking it completely to heart. If you do that, then it won't take very many negative comments before you hang up your business for good. Consider taking people's advice if it is constructive, but do not listen to anyone that is completely negative.

Finally, in addition to perseverance and a thick skin, you also need to have the ability to deal with failure. There are a number of people that do not have this ability and in fact there are people that give up on something after having one unsuccessful try at it. This is something that you need to avoid in business because you're going to fail at things again and again. The most successful businessmen of today were failures at some point yesterday; what makes them successful businessmen is that they did not give up. You shouldn't give up either; if you have one quality out of these three; make sure it is the ability to deal with failure.

Google s online feed reader application

Nothing is more frustrating than being inundated with information from the blogging community when you are clueless as how to manage all these content especially the ones you are interested in. In this regard, Google’s online feed reader application, Google Reader, can be of great help. Google Reader will keep track of all these fresh contents (feeds) making it easier to keep up with your ever-increasing list of contents from across the blogosphere.

Feeds, Feed Readers – Terms You Should Know

One way to manage blog updates is through the use of feeds. Feeds are small files just like web pages. Blogs have links or these orange buttons labeled XML, RSS or Atom. All these are feed formats. They let you gather updates from a wide variety of blogs and display these fresh updates all in one place as they come in. This feature is referred to as syndication, aggregation or simply subscribing. Most blog publishers use RSS format which stands for Really Simple Syndication format.

The best way to subscribe to feeds is to use a feed reader. A feed reader is sometimes called a news reader, news aggregator, blog reader, RSS reader or RSS client. A feed reader is a type of software or program that retrieves syndicated content supplied in the form of feed published by blogs. A feed reader maintains a list of blogs you are subscribed to, check them for updates at your determined intervals and displays these contents in a readable format. There are basically two types of feed readers – application-based and web-based.

Application-based feed readers or installable desktop programs are simple software applications that are installed on the computer. Whenever you go online, they check the RSS feeds for blogs you are subscribed to and display the new posts into the reader on your computer. Feed Demon (Windows) and NetNewsWire (Mac OS X) are popular application-based feed readers.

If you prefer to use an online service to track and manage your feeds, then a web-based feed reader is the one for you. It works in a web browser to collect all the blogs to which you are subscribed to in one place online. Any upgrade or new features are added automatically. What is more, you can check feeds from any computer. Google Reader is one fine example of a web-based feed reader.

Google Reader – Fresh Content at your Doorstep

As part of Google’s grand vision to bring together personalized web content to make information more relevant to users, it has launched its online feed reader application, Google Reader Beta. This brings Google closer to becoming a one-stop portal for your e-mail, hand-picked news and other information.

Google Reader is a web-based feed reader which aggregates feeds from blogs. It is capable of reading RSS and Atom feeds. It has a clean and easy interface that allows you to manage which content you have read, save them, organize them and categorize them for future reference.

Instead of regularly visiting individual blogs for updates, Google Reader will do the job for you. Google Reader will keep you updated about all the online information you are interested in. They can be news blogs or even your friends’ blogs.

To avail of this service, you must have a Google account. If you have a registered account with Gmail, you can use your username and password to sign in to Google Reader. If you don’t have a Google Account, you can access the reader by logging on to google. com/reader. To enjoy Google Reader’s amazing features, make sure you are using either one of these browsers – IE 6. Firefox 1.0+, Safari 1.3+, Netscape 7.2+ and 1.7+.

Google Reader Cool Features – A Quick Run Down

Google Reader is a complete feed reader. It also adheres to Google’s trademark simple, easy-to-use design principle. The neat layout of Google Reader makes it easy to search for and scroll through feeds. Content is organized into four sections - Home Page, Your Subscriptions, Read Items and Starred.

To search for feeds, you can use the search box at the upper left top of the screen. Finding content is easy, just type a specific publication, name, author, or topic and click “search for new content” and Google Reader will retrieve up to ten results. You can then subscribe by clicking the subscribe button adjacent to each search result. Google Reader will monitor the blog for updates and add them to your reading list. Google Reader has two panes, the left displays the reading list and the feeds you subscribe to and a preview pane on the right that allows you to read the full feed content.

Content can be displayed by date or automatic sorting which prioritizes content based on relevance to you. You can choose whether or not you like content you’ve already read to remain in your reading list. However, you can still view read items not in your reading list by clicking on the “Read Items” button at the top of the Home Page. Google Reader allows you to retrieve a listing of read items. You might want to look through the last 50 items to come up with trends or enable you to complete a search.

As mentioned earlier, when you find content you want to read on a regular basis, you can subscribe to it and Google Reader will monitor that blog for updates and add them to your reading list. You can also use the “Edit Subscriptions” link to edit or add to your subscription list. The subscription link displays a user’s current, past and deleted subscriptions. It allows you to view details such as dates and specific tags used. Current subscriptions can be found in the reading list.

You may also add tags or labels to feeds you’ve read that are somewhat connected. Feeds about computers may be tagged “computers”, “electronics”, “information technology”. Similarly, you can also label an item with a star. These starred items are presented as a list of entries with feed URL, tags, published and updated periods included. Google Reader treats starred items as a special type of tag. Moreover, if you use the tagging/labeling feature of Google Reader, you can share them.

Google Reader allows you to share what you read with friends. You can send a list to your starred items in Google Reader. Anyone who clicks on this link is taken to a public version of Google Reader (no log-in required) that displays the content with your shared label. If you have a Gmail account, you can click the “Send Email” button to automatically compose an e-mail to go with the link. Another way you can share is to put a clip on your blog with fresh content from your reading list. A clip is a condensed list of current headlines from contents with a specific label that can be posted on a blog. Any visitor can then view the latest headlines from a label you are sharing.

Another cool feature of Google Reader is the keyboard shortcuts. They save time by helping you scan your reading list without the hassle of moving your hand back and forth between the keyboard and the mouse. Navigation becomes much easier.

Give the Google Reader a test drive and experience for yourself how easy it is to manage content overload from the blogosphere.

Objectives and obstacles online marketing

“Do not make the mistake of treating the Internet as if it is simply an advertising medium. The Web has more in common with the telephone than print.” – Peter DeLegge

The Internet is a means that many use to communicate everyday. Unlike the phone, the Internet ads a visual sense of communication and allows for the spread of consumer-based information. Because the premise of the Internet is communication website owners need to ensure a level of interactivity with visitors.

“Your Internet business strategy should be an extension of your company's existing business strategy and well-integrated with everything your company does off-line.” – Peter DeLegge

Websites do not need to be somehow set apart from the functions of brick and mortar stores. The very things you do in-store should also be reflected online. Some netrepreneurs believe that an online store needs to be different from their storefront. You will be better served if you make the web an extension of your show room with the added bonus of client connectivity on both fronts.

“Most corporate Web sites are horrible about responding to email inquiries, don't let yours be one.” – Peter DeLegge

If a client leaves a voice mail you will likely find it important to return the phone call. In the same way emails should elicit a committed response. We may find it easier to simply ignore the large volume of email we have in our accounts, but the truth is emails represent either existing or potential customers. We do ourselves a disservice if we refuse to respond.

“The Internet provides a great opportunity to provide your target markets with high quality intellectual capital that can help position your company as a thought leader in the minds of your target markets.” – Peter DeLegge

You know a significant amount about your business and the products and services you provide. A series of ‘intellectual capital’ articles cab be an important contribution to your visitors.

When you place educational articles optimized with keywords or phrases you contribute to the understanding of your business while improving your ranking on search engines.

“Keeping up with the rapid changes of Internet marketing is a full time job. Find an expert and use him or her.” – Peter DeLegge

If you find it difficult to manage online marketing on your own you can always seek out a professional to assist you in reaching your online marketing objectives in a way that provides adequate return on your investment (ROI).

Can ad campaigning be a business

Having a wellness home business is a very profitable area to be in for entrepreneurs. In the wellness industry you have the options of direct sales, tradeshows, flea markets, multi-level marketing, affiliate memberships, and even ecommerce. What you may not realize is that you can create quite a bit of passive income from ad campaigns for your wellness home business. Here are some tips to help you with this area of potential income from your wellness home business.

To be successful with an ad campaign, you must first have a website of some sort that provides the wellness products or services that you are offering. You can even have a website that has pictures from your tradeshow exhibitions and flea market booths.

Perhaps you sell directly to people in your area and not online at all, a website with your business information and list of your products is very helpful to have for clients.

Once you create your ecommerce site or business website, you will need to set up an account to place ads on your site. It is fairly simple to set up your account and verify all of your information. Once the account is set up, you will go to the area to create the ads. You can select sizes, colors, picture ads, text ads, and even a combination of pictures and text.

Once you have made all the appropriate choices on the ad campaign account, you will be taken to a page that provides the script to run the ads. Copy this script and save it in a TXT file on your computer. Either paste the script at the top of your pages yourself or have your programmer do this for you. The scripts are designed to pick up the content from each page and place complimentary ads that will draw the attention of your visitors.

Each time an ad is clicked on by your visitors, you will be making a passive income from ad campaigns for your wellness home business. You can also set it up so that you have a search box on your site and each time a visitor searches, you will receive passive income.

Next, you will want to develop content for your website. Remember the more pages you have on your website with these ads, the more chances you have of visitors clicking them to generate a passive income for you. It literally is all about the numbers when it comes to this type of passive income. A site that has 200 pages is going to have 200 to 600 ads for the whole site and one that has 4 pages is going to have 4 to 12 ads for the whole site.

You have a greater chance of a visitor clicking ads with more ads. One way to create content for your site is to provide short and interesting articles that compliment your wellness products or services. You can do this even if your site is a business site. You will develop a reputation of providing useful information and knowing about the industry as well as additional pages to place ads on your site for potential clicks.

The final step in creating a passive income from ad campaigns for your wellness home business is getting the word out that your site is on the internet. You can use forums, word of mouth, and link backs to successfully do this. You do not want to use programs or groups that pay members or give members credit points to visit your site because this will void your ad campaign.

Online trading is quick and easy but online investing takes time

It seems like it should be so easy to make money online trading stocks, commodities, currencies, and anything your heart desires. It seems as though anyone with a computer with internet access should be able to be a complete online trading guru within just a few short months. Imagine the state of the economy if everyone who can operate their email account could also earn a full time income with just a few mouse clicks and an open heart.

I know that the online investment companies would like you to believe that it is so simple to make money online trading the specialty that you choose, but not everyone can. At least not at first. This sort of trading takes time and a little education.

Everyone can learn to ride a bike. Some people take longer than others to grasp the concept of pushing the pedal to get started while others simply lack the patience to learn how to ride a bike. Others never really had the opportunity to learn how to ride a bike. Making money online trading any type of legal exchange is no different. Some people will grasp it right away while others may require years of attempts. Some may not have had the opportunity before, but provided they can gain access to a computer with internet access, they can create their own opportunity.

Online trading companies make a fortune in abandon desires. You set yourself up at your computer and you thought you did all the research and time and time again you clicked your mouse looking for your big windfall. When it doesn’t work, you have one of two options. You can continue to try or you can shrug your shoulders and believe there are other dream making concepts floating around the internet. It is unfortunate how many people leave their hopes and dreams behind, bouncing along on a fiber optic wire with no direction to head. We live in an instantaneous society, and lacking the patience for learning the process is the number one killer of online investment promises.

I know. Some internet guru promised you a quick and easy return on your investment in a ridiculously short amount of time and it hasn’t happened yet. You shelled out your end of the $49.99 and your promises weren’t returned. What they forgot to tell you was that everything they promised you can come true, provided you can find the patience and fortitude to move forward with the learning process before expecting your big payoff.

Anyone can open an account and dabble in making money through online trading, but those who make serious money have gone through a process that not only educates them, but gives them the courage and confidence necessary to trade well. This isn’t something that you can’t accomplish, provided that you want to. And sometimes wanting to accomplish something is more than half of the requirement for success. Online trading does not have be a big mystery for those willing to look beyond the basics.

Women s views on football posters

Many NFL fans, most of them men, although some women enjoy football as well, like to display posters of their favorite players and teams on the walls of their home. They could be put them on the walls of the bedroom, dining room, hall, or whatever part of the house that has room to exhibit them. The number of posters could vary from one to numerous. How do women feel about these posters being displayed on the walls of the home that they share with these fans? Well some wouldn’t have a problem with it, yet others would.

On one hand, a woman may enjoy seeing these posters of football players being displayed in their home. One reason for this is that they may enjoy looking at the players in their uniforms, and may think of the player as attractive, even sexy in their form-fitting football attire. Another reason that some women may enjoy having these posters displayed in their home is because they may be fans themselves, and it may make them feel proud to have posters of their favorite players in their home.

On the other hand, some women become quite annoyed when their mates (or even sons) place these football-related posters on the walls of their home. They may find them an unwanted, unwelcome annoyance and resent having to look at them on a day-to-day basis. Women may also find these posters unsightly and feel that they clash with the decor that they have in their houses. The woman may want to put up posters, or some other type of decoration of her own choosing, but can’t because the football posters are taking up the space. This could possibly lead to arguments and other problems. These problems and/or arguments can be solved or even completely eliminated if the people involved agree to compromise. Perhaps the NFL fan could choose to display his pictures only in designated areas, such as a garage, den or other agreed-upon area. Another way that they could compromise is by taking turns displaying their decorations or posters of choice. The NFL fan could agree to only keep the posters up during the official football season, and then remove them after the Super Bowl. There are many ways for women to coexist with the football fan in their life, whether they’re fans themselves, or not. All it takes is just a little understanding and compromise, and these posters should cause no problems.

A few tips for choosing a computer desk

Most people that work in an office usually do most of their work on a computer of some type. Whether you are an accountant, a manager, a programmer, or even the president of the company, you are going to do most of your work on your computer, because computers are very good at increasing productivity and accuracy. If you are going to be working on a computer for eight hours a day, then you will want to make sure and choose a computer desk that will make your work easier and more comfortable for you to complete. A great computer desk can incorporate all of your office needs in one piece of furniture. Here are some of the options that are available in different types of computer desks:

Monitor Stand – A monitor stand can be built into the computer desk which will allow you to position your monitor at eye level. Monitors need to be at eye level so you do not put any undo strain on your neck or back.

Computer and Printer Shelf – Many new computer desks have a hidden shelf to store your computer, and some have a shelf for your printer. These are great options, because it will allow the surface of your desk to be clear so you have plenty of space to do your work.

Keyboard Drawer – A keyboard drawer built into your computer desk is very helpful, because it will allow you to pull the keyboard towards your body which is more ergonomically correct.

Hutch or Bookshelf - Either one of these options will allow your computer desk to keep all of your important books and other materials close to you so that you do not have to leave your work area to get what you need.

Filing Cabinet – I believe that this option is a most have for any computer desk, because a filing cabinet built into one of the drawers can be a huge time saver. This will also help you stay organized because you do not have to remember to file paperwork since your filing cabinet will always be at your fingertips.

Shopping online safely - steps i take to protect myself

The dangers of online shopping are well known. Horror stories abound of people who have lost loads of money while shopping online. You may be tempted to shun all online shopping, because you just don't want to take the risk.

However, as our lives become and more intertwined with activities on the Internet, it will become increasingly hard to avoid all online financial transactions. Instead of avoiding the issue, why not take steps to protect yourself?

I'll outline steps I take to limit my online risk. Following these steps are no guarantee that I'll never lose money. But they greatly reduce the chances that I will lose significant amounts of money with my online activities.

To start it's important to recognize two levels of risk:

1. My Immediate Purchase Risk - the risk that I will lose money with the transaction I am currently making.

2. My After-the-Fact Financial Risk - the risk that my financial information will be stolen and used subsequent to the transaction I am currently making, possibly repeatedly.

While both kinds of risk are important, the second can lead to far greater losses of money than the first. We'll cover steps to avoid both kinds of losses, but you'll want to be especially diligent about lowering your After-the-Fact financial risk.

Reducing My Immediate Purchase Risk

In making a purchase, the merchant's reputation is everything. When I consider purchasing from an unfamiliar online merchant, I do my my best to establish that the merchant has a good reputation. Most legitimate retailers work hard to avoid cheating their customers, and their reputation will reflect that effort.

Reputation on Online Auctions

With online auctions, establishing a merchant's reputation is usually pretty easy. Generally each seller will have a score indicating how well they've done in satisfying their customers. Don't under estimate the value of this information. It's very revealing. I usually make sure that the seller has been involved in a large number of transactions -- no less than 30 -- but a much higher number if I want to be really safe.

Further I read the feedback that the seller has received from their buyers. It's important to take particular note of any neutral or negative comments. If the percentage of negative comments is greater than a couple percent, I will probably avoid this seller. Additionally, if the negative comment percentage is low, but there is a consistent theme of poor shipping performance or of buyers not receiving what they expected, I also will likely move on.

Reputation Through the Better Business Bureau

If the merchant is not selling through an auction, establishing it's reputation takes more work. I'll usually take a quick look at the Better Business Bureau web site for online businesses ( bbbonline. org). It's pretty rare to find an online merchant listed there, but if it is listed and it has poor performance, I immediately know to avoid it.

Further, if I can find the physical address of the business, I can use the main Better Business Bureau web site (welcome. bbb. org/) to find the local Better Business Bureau responsible for the merchant's geographic area. Many times the local Better Business Bureau will have a listing for the online merchant.

Business investment decisions

There are many investments that a company can make. It is a financial manager’s job to help the management team evaluate the investments, rank them and suggest choices. This process is called capital budgeting.

Some investments, however, defy financial analysis; an example of this may be seen in charitable donations, which provide intangible benefits that financial mangers alone cannot evaluate.

It may be argued that investment decisions fall into one of three basic decision categories:

Accept or reject a single investment proposal

Choose one competing investment over another

Capital rationing – with this particular category, the limited investment pool is active deciding which projects among many should be chosen.

Whilst each corporation uses its own criteria to ration its limited resources, the major tools are:

Payback period

Net present value

Payback period method – many companies believe that the best way to judge investments is to calculate the amount of time it takes to recover their investments.

Analysts can easily calculate paybacks and make simple acceptance or reduction decisions based on a necessary payback period. Those projects that come close to the mark are accepted, those falling short are rejected. For example, the managers of a small company may believe that all energy and labour saving devices should have a three-year payback and that all new machinery must have an eight-year payback. Additionally, research projects should pay back in ten years. Those requirements are based on management’s judgements, experience, and level of risk.

By accepting projects with longer paybacks, management accepts more risk. The further out an investment’s payback, the more uncertain and risky it is. Payback criteria are desirable because they are easy to use, calculate and understand; however they ignore the timing of cash flows and accordingly the time value of money. Projects with vastly different cash flows can have the same payback period.

Another disadvantage of using payback is that it ignores the cash flows received after the payback.

Net present value methods

The same method used for valuing the cash flows of bonds and stocks is also used to value projects. It is the most accurate and most correct method. The further in the future a dollar is received the greater the uncertainty that it will be received, referred to as risk, and the greater the loss of opportunity to use those funds, referred to as opportunity cost. Accordingly cash flows received in the future will be discounted more steeply depending on the riskiness of the project.

The way a business wishes to fund itself are financing decisions independent of investment decisions.

In my own experience, I have only ever used the payback method, along with my fellow business colleagues, perhaps because this has always been easier to understand and use and calculate. This served us well but caused frequent conflicts between operations, marketing and finance, for understandable reasons.

In summary, whereas most companies may continue to use the payback method due to the aforementioned reasons, it is well worth noting that another option is there and, especially for the financial side of the business, gives a very interesting option.

How to increase pr rank

It doesn’t matter whether your business is a work at home affiliate company earning a passive income, or a retail store with a web site, PR ranking will play a major roll in your success.

PR, Page Ranking, is how search engines, especially Google, decide which pages are ranked high when surfers are looking for information. It also determines whether high paying ads, or $.01 a click ads. It will even determine whether people will pay $5.00 or $500 to advertise on your website.

This makes PR ranking the most important, and most misunderstood aspect of internet marketing.

PR is important for all websites, newsletters, blogs, or ezine publishers. Most webmasters stop once they learn about free article directories, but this is only a small percentage of the information needed to increase PR rank, and earn money from the Internet.

The debunked myth that duplicate content is penalized has opened up the www for major promotion. The only catch to free articles is the resource box. These are 2-4 lines at the bottom of the article. While they are a little price to pay for a free article, the webmaster needs to research them before using the article.

The first considerations should be the page the links point to. Is it a ad copy ‘buy now’ page, a cheap page that goes on for several feet, full of testimonies and false free offers. A good link will head to an article with similar content to your website.

Index pages can be tricky. Sometimes they have hidden redirects that lead readers to secondary sites, often porn or gambling. This penalizes the site, but also your site.

The next thing to do is check and make sure the link is still live. After a few months of posting articles, several of the sites will go down. The best thing to do is add a no-follow link into the HTML code. This lets visitors still see the link (and click it to a 404 error page) but it will stop the search engines from following the link.

There are many factors that increase page rank. Hits per month, age, and inbound links will bring a Page Rank to PR2 or PR3. Content will bring the rank higher. Combine this with content that is updated weekly, and dozens of other websites that carry the RSS feeds, and a PR4 looms in the future.

But, how do you ask other webmasters to submit to your blog/content management system’s RSS feed? This can be tricky. Offering news is one good way, especially if the news is something commonly used, but a little off beat.

Webmasters who can't write, have the time, or don't have the budget to hire a writer should use free content for their website. Copy and paste the article from free article web sites and the job is done.

However, there are better ways. First, if you find an author whose work you like, contact them personally. Ask them if you can use their articles, and if you can post the links ‘in’ the article. These are called ‘executive links.’

Most article writers will gladly let the links be moved into the article, and let webmasters use their articles without adding the directory link. This increases your website’s image. Instead of adding free content, you can promote the writers as ‘guest writers’ for a week, or month.

The main way to increase PR is to increase the number of inbound links. Many businesses host a few dozen blogs, complete with free content, but also including inbound links to the website. Another way is to write ‘pre packaged’ newsletters for other websites to use, with your links included.

Do not limit the article to one or even one-hundred article sites. Submit to hundreds. Each one is an inbound link.

Most important, don’t give up. Keep changing the site every two weeks, and the PR will hit PR4-soon.

Seo - using plr to increase web presence

The best way to make PLR content (public label rights) work for you is to find free material that is in a niche that is currently hot or trendily. If you don’t know how to do this then try imitating what hot PLR content sellers such as Norm Hallet and Vic Johnson are doing. It is also a good idea to note how the successful sellers are marketing their product and then simply imitate their selling methods the best that you can.

A simple and efficient way to make money from your public label rights content is to turn it into a mini e-course. This is a series of educational special reports that are sent to your subscribers by email. One of the intentions of this content is to help you build your own email list filled with returning customers.

Yet another to way to increase your web presence and therefore ultimately your profits is to create niche articles from existing PLR content and then use the content for syndication. Good sites to submit them to are ezinearticles. com and goarticles. com. You can also put these articles up for sale or on your blog. At the bottom of each article is a back link to your site and of course the more back links you get the more traffic and Adsense clicks the more income you will generate on your search engine optimized website.

As with the content on your website, the key to successful article submission is to make sure that your articles are absolutely original unique. This may mean changing existing content by using your Word program’s thesaurus to change words in the article. For instance if the headline of the article is “Secrets To Growing Orchids ” it could be changed to “ Fool Proof Prize Winning Orchids.”

Top asset protection strategies

Are you someone who has made a considerable amount of fortune in recent times?

Or are you a person who is self employed or in a white collar profession?

Are you in the medical profession?

Does your job require you to deal with people everyday?

Do you own rental income properties and earn income from them?

Or are you the owner or boss of a company?

If you happen to fall under any of the above mentioned categories, you need to consider planning for asset protection right away.

If you are not sure what asset protection is, asset protection is a type of advanced financial planning technique that helps protect your assets from any type of legal liabilities now and in the future.

Contrary to popular beliefs, asset protection does not mean hiding assets, and is not a trick to evade authority. Asset protection also does not involve deceptive agreements or fraudulent transfers. It is simply smart and safe financial planning. It uses the cunning of business and tools of financial planning to safe guard your assets from being extracted by outsiders who do not have any right to or claim on your hard earned money.

In a nutshell, asset protection is the simplest and most inexpensive way of safe guarding your assets in case the situation arises where there is a threat to your assets. These are simple strategies that will make it unnecessary for you to hire the services of attorneys and other experts if the situation suddenly turns against you.

When it comes to protection of your assets, there is no one-size-fits-all asset protection plan or strategy. Defining your goals and needs, and using common sense will ultimately help you to work out the best plan for protecting your wealth against unscrupulous people and endeavors. Below are some useful asset protection strategies:

* The first tip is to keep a low profile by resisting the temptation to show off your wealth and being extravagant. Do not own all your assets directly under your own name.

* If you have more than one asset, then register the names of each asset as separate legal entities.

* Stay away from any types of ventures involving general partnership or handshake agreements. Partners are more likely to drag you into all sorts of legal troubles where you and your assets become directly liable.

* The liability laws differ from state to state. Some states follow more stringent rules while laws in other states are comparatively more flexible.

* Do not trust your financial advisor fully. Before trusting somebody with your money, just remind yourself of all the scams that routinely appear in the front pages of the leading newspapers.

Even if you have worked out a foolproof asset protection plan, you should keep a liability insurance, so that if something unfortunate were to happen, the insurance will strengthen your defense.

Coaching an attitude

Do you find yourself in a difficult work environment with no immediate view of a change in occupation? Do you labor on wondering if your work matters or if the future will ever be bright enough to wear shades?

If so, you can endure the difficulties and in the end you may be better equipped to manage future assignments in either your present job or any new employment you may pursue.

How can such a miracle take place?

Attitude. Your attitude about even the hardest of assignments can help you in the future. The truth is the only person you can control in this life is yourself. You can decide how you will respond. If you decide you are angry with your boss and that the demands placed on you are unreasonable your actions will demonstrate the perspective you have adopted. You will not be a pleasant employee, coworker, parent or spouse.

There is a story of a business owner that hired a temporary employee. The first day the business owner told the man that he needed a pile of bricks moved from one location on the property to another and then the bricks were to be carefully restacked. The man complied with the request easily enough and at the end of the day a beautiful stack of bricks were the representation of his attention to detail.

The second day the business owner pointed to the pile of bricks that were moved the day before and told the man that he wanted the bricks moved back to their original location and restacked. Without complaint the man happily complied with the same careful attention.

This happened for three more days and each day the temporary worker complied with what seemed to be an insane request and the boss was well pleased.

The story concludes with the temporary worker being selected as a supervisor in the company because he knew that value of following directions without complaint – even when the requests made no sense.

As an employee you may not have the ability to alter the direction your boss has determined for you. You might think it unfair, but your most important job is determining how you respond to the demands placed on you. A positive attitude could change how your boss perceives you and your abilities.

Another story is told of an elderly woman moved from her long-term home to a nursing care center. Even before she saw the room she exclaimed, “I love the room.”

A nurse said, “You haven’t even seen the room yet. How can you say you love it?”

“Because I’ve already made up my mind that I will, and that’s enough,” the older woman replied with a smile.

Our attitude can radically change our perspective and the way others perceive us. Stress levels decrease when we refuse to hold onto the stress that causes physical problems like ulcers and headaches.

You can actually be empowered by knowing that when it comes to how you respond YOU are the one in charge.

Marketing in social networks

One of the most important rules in marketing your business is that you go where your target market is. With the growing popularity of online social networking websites, it’s a little wonder that more and more businesses are looking for ways to take advantage of the millions of members of these sites. With the use of several widely available tools and networking tactics, you will find that marketing your products or services through this medium is not that hard to do.

Make Friends before Making Money

One of the most common misconceptions of businessmen in marketing their products and services through this medium is considering social networks as just place to post their advertisements on. Contrary to popular belief, posting advertisements that look too much like advertisements are not very effective in this medium. As these social networking sites serve as friend-finder platforms, it is often better to maximize its intended function in order to successfully market your products.

Because of this, you have to start from scratch and collect friends as you go along. This may sound a bit hard to do at first but keep in mind that having a great number of friends in your network is the best way for your offers to be noticed. This doesn’t mean, however, that you are going to flood the bulletin boards with your products ads right after collecting your friends. Instead, it is advisable to develop real relationships and friendships with those who have become your friends by helping them with their concerns, posting your blogs, sending your testimonials, etc. This way, you can be sure that when you offer your product and services to them, they will be interested and you will have more chances of getting sales.

Thankfully, these social networking platforms offer a way to make your task easier by giving you search options in which to limit your potential friends to those who might be interested in your particular product or service. If you have a pet shop for example, you might want to limit your members search to those people who love pets. Similarly, if you are a car salesman, you might like to look for those people who are of working age rather than those still in college. In social networking sites, you can search by limiting your search criteria to members’ hobbies, interests, location, organizations and more. This will help you limit and focus your marketing efforts towards people who are in your target market.

Share Information

Blogging is a great way to reach out to people who might be interested in your service. Remember though that members of social networking websites are not actively looking for products and services so your advertisements would probably be not as effective as you might think.

Instead, try to post blogs that are informative and interesting. These blogs may not convince them outright to buy your products, but you will definitely stand out as someone who knows about this particular product. Thus, you will be one of the persons he or she will approach when considering a purchase in this product category.

Internet Surfers’ Choice

This factor may be more important than you think as more and more search engines are integrating the voice of the internet users in how it ranks the websites. Today, you can see this through social bookmarking wherein internet users can bookmark their favorite sites through an online bookmark website, social search engines and social driven content wherein the users’ preferences and outlooks are given importance in ranking the websites. Users of social networking sites are given the right to vote on how relevant websites or articles are in their search. All these sites are easily accessible and membership is usually free.

With these new set of tools, you can effectively market your products and services to the millions of social networking users.

3 ways to promote your website promotions

Website promotions are some of the easiest and cost effective ways to promote your business. There are many ways to do this and bring quality traffic to your site. Always remember that your website is like your storefront. Before you start your promotions, be sure that your website looks professional. It should also have good interesting content that your visitors will enjoy. A good sales letter is vital to your business success. It should also have an informative page and a form to contact you.

One of the first website promotions you will do is submit your site to the search engines. To do this you should:

Write some interesting website content that is optimized. Write a variety of articles on different aspects of your business. Include product reviews as these are very popular and will help you to sell your products. Optimizing means making your content keyword rich but not stuffed. To do this, you must do your keyword research for your business. You can do this at goodkeywords. com

Insert Meta tags into your HTML: Nowadays, a good title and descriptive Meta tags are what counts. These are just small pieces of HTML that guide the search engine bots and give them information to take back to their databases for indexing purposes.

Submit your site: The biggest search engines are Google, Yahoo, and MSN. You have to pay to submit to Yahoo now, but the other 2 are free. Once you build back your links, it is very likely that you will find your website in Yahoo without having to pay for it. When you submit to these 3 search engines, you do not really have to submit to any other ones. Google is the biggest, Yahoo comes second, and MSN is third in size and effectiveness. It is good to aim for the top 10 positions or first page of these search engines.

The second thing to do is to set up a blog. A blog is a small diary written on a daily basis. Write short interesting blogs that your visitors will enjoy. Always remember to make one link that goes back to your content pages. This can be a new article or a brand new product. This can be done on blogspot. com. This site belongs to Google and is regularly crawled by their Google bots. This means that the bots will follow your links and find your pages of content at your site. You can get new content indexed within 48 hours in this way.

Article distribution is easy and very powerful. Again, you can write some good articles on different subjects which will attract different segments of your niche market. Use a service or software to distribute them. Grant reprint rights to your entire article web content and also the ones that you distribute. Remember to use a few bios to target the right audience. As well as bringing warm, ready to buy visitors with article distribution, you will also accumulate valuable back links. These will help you to get a better position in the search engines.

Seo no perfect world

In the best case scenario the model of SEO would provide business with a fair shake in search engine rankings while giving visitors the opportunity to find legitimate information on your site.

In a perfect world, search engines would give you altered ranking status within 24 hours of site submission information instead of two months or more.

It would be a good day if every facet of SEO were clearly understood in a three-step outline or through a book called, “SEO for the Uninformed”.

In a simpler time SEO might have meant Site Environment Optimization and would have something to do with home improvement and the need for tools.

The terminology of SEO might be foreign and the concepts may be more repulsive than your least favorite class in school, but for online marketing SEO is a language that must be learned if you are serious about making the most of your online store.

One of the difficulties netrepreneurs face is the state of flux that is associated with SEO practices. If a businessman has old information or relies on the inexperience of many so-called SEO professionals they will likely hurt themselves by participating in practices that are often penalized by search engines.

Simply put SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a mechanism of targeting words or phrases that Search Engine users may likely use when searching for products or services that are similar to yours.

SEO applies to Meta information in the html code of each page, it can also be found in the articles and other content produced on your website.

One of the expenses you may need to look at in relation to your online business is the expense of time in the form of research. A little time each day set aside for understanding the relation of SEO and your website can go a long way in moving you into greater future online business success.

Should you receive an email that reads something like, “I visited your website and noticed that you are not listed in most of the major search engines and directories..." delete it and never give it a second thought.

There are many willing hands ready to take your money and are rarely able to deliver on their implied promise. Sure, they may be able to improve your site ranking, but it will typically be for a keyword that has nothing to do with your site’s purpose.

There may be something to the old adage, “If you want something done right, do it yourself.”

The good news SEO techniques can be learned and you are the right person for such an educational opportunity.

Aluminum tubes in sports and recreation

Pete Sampras, Lance Armstrong, Tiger Woods, Barry Bonds are great sportsmen who have one thing in common among themselves. They have excelled in their sport of choice and have achieved greatness. Almost all of the equipment they used at one time or another during their rise to fame and fortune have been made out of or contain aluminum tubes!

Sports and recreation are two areas where the use of aluminum tubes has made great inroads in the manufacturing process of equipment. Baseball bats, frames of bicycle racers, wheel assemblies of skateboards, golf club heads, tennis racquet frames, exhaust headers and manifolds of race cars are just a few of the sports equipment that have been greatly improved and made superior with the use of extruded aluminum tubes.

Both fans and players love to hear the solid sound of a ball being hit squarely by a player’s baseball bat when a ballgame is in progress. Today’s baseball bat is a so much different from the ones used by Babe Ruth, baseball bats then are made of wood whereas today’s modern bats are made of extruded aluminum tubes albeit they still have wood inside. The combination of wood and aluminum made the players hit better and farther than before!

All cyclists in the world’s ultimate bicycle race, the Tour de France, use racers constructed from aluminum tube alloys in order to lower the weights of their bicycles to combat drag and in order to be able to pedal faster with lesser effort on their part.

The transition of tennis players from using wooden tennis racquets to aluminum framed tennis racquets also contributed to tennis advance into being considered a power game as players gained more control over their strokes when they started using racquets made from extruded aluminum tubes in various widths and sizes.

The water sport community also took great advantage of the versatility of aluminum tubes. Windsurfers, Hobie Cat enthusiasts, deep sea fishermen and even weekend water babies all use gadgets, parts and gears for their particular sport manufactured from marine grade aluminum tubes and stock. One important quality of aluminum is that is can be given an anodize coat and painted over to match the color scheme of your rig. From windsurfing beams to oars and deep sea fishing gear, aluminum tubes are in wide use in the marine community.

Take a look at the bottom of your son’s skateboard and chances are you will see that the wheel assemblies of high performance, competition type skateboards are made of aluminum tubes.

On the home front, even your outdoor chaise lounge and patio furniture, outdoor awning and umbrella and the ever present portable barbecue grill all have aluminum tubes as their main components.

Such is the versatility of aluminum that it is used regularly and extensively in more applications than we can imagine. Look at an elderly person’s walking cane and you will surely see a variant of the aluminum tube, anodized and painted, a testimony to the metal’s usefulness in almost all aspects of our daily living.

Sales tax - e-commerce and small business

If an online business has a physical location in a certain state, such as a store, business office, or warehouse, it must collect sales tax from customers in that state. If a business does not have a physical presence in a state, it is not required to collect sales tax for sales into that state. This rule originated from a 1992 Supreme Court decision which declared that mail-order merchants did not need to collect sales taxes for sales into states where they did not have a physical presence.

Online shoppers who live in a state that collects sales tax are officially required to pay the tax to the state even when an Internet retailer does not collect it. When shoppers are required to pay tax directly to the state, it is referred to as "use" tax instead of sales tax.

The revenue collection agencies in most states now have some kind of formal position on e-commerce sales. Most states treat the sales in the same way they treat mail-order sales; however, you should contact your state tax agency and ask for help and information with regard to your particular business to be sure.

State governments and brick-and-mortar retailers are in the hunt for legislation to overturn the 1992 Supreme Court ruling. Missing out on tax revenue from online purchases is maddening for state governments, so expect changes in the future.

Practical example: Suzie found the perfect birthday present for her husband but can't find them in California, so she orders the gift online from a gift shop with headquarters in Texas. The supplier has all of its facilities in Texas and collects payment in Texas. Suzie does not have to pay California sales tax (or Texas sales tax) on the gift.

A few months later, the online business opens a warehouse in California to handle its online orders for the entire country. Suzie continues to order gifts from the same company in Texas but she must now pay California sales tax.

Should Internet commerce remain exempt from sales taxes to encourage the growth of online business or should it be subject to the same taxation faced by storefront companies is not our place to decide, but it is a concern for all selling and buying online.
