Have you these amazing ideas which you’re sure you can put into practise and make a living out of your ideas. If so you’re more than likely looking into financial help to put these ideas into practise. You may think bank loans, credit cards and loans off family and friends are the only options but Business Angels and Venture Capitalists are also a good option to consider.

Business Angels what are they you may ask, they often work as individuals who themselves are entrepreneurs and have made their dream come true in whatever business sector they chose. They have now have the experience and financial backing to help other entrepreneurs to start their own business just like themselves years ago.

Venture Capitalists are very similar to Business Angels they are often from an entrepreneur background have made a successful business and now would like to give back to other entrepreneurs and help them with finance for their new start-up business.

So you’re asking what is the difference between them both, they are:

Business Angels – Give you the financial help you need when you need it, and invest their own money in your business. If a business angel works within an angel network the angels will pool together with their investment as well as sharing research they each do. Angels understand the needs of a new business as they have been there themselves and therefore they not only offer financial help but they can offer good advice when no one else will.

Venture Capitalists – Give you the financial help you require when you need it but uses pooled money the venture capitalist and others have in a professionally managed fund. Venture Capitalists like to take an active role in the business they are investing usually being a director or on the management board of the business.

So if you’re looking for some financial help for your new start-up business or even your struggling business you don’t just have the options of:

• Family

• Friends

• Banks

• Loans

• Credit Cards

You have the option of using a Business Angel or a Venture Capitalist. Which ever one you decide to use the only way you’re going to show your serious in wanting their help is to have a well planned and thorough business plan.

A business plan will not only be used to show your investor what you planned ideas are and your predicted returns in the next few years will be it will also be used for you to run your business well. Your business plan will show others what your initial goals were and if you succeeded in these as well as any risks you planned for and if any of these actually occurred and if they did, did you cope ok with rectifying the risk.

Your business plan shouldn’t just be placed in a drawer and forgotten about it should be regularly updated. Your business will continue to change and usually out of your control and you should reflect on these changes within your business plan. You should have contingency plans to deal with any external influences that would affect your business and the way in which you run it.

You should now be a little wiser of the facts of the difference between Business Angels and Venture Capitalists and how they can help you.

1)"Lust for Life", dirigida por Vicente Minnelli en 1952:

Manifestation of corruption

The freedom of choice is the key aim of any democratic state and this principle has been developing fro ages. The person is forced, by circumstances or by desires, to make a choice between what is right and what is easy. Nowadays it is not difficult to pick an easy way and never regret about the consequences, though that are not favorably impressing. Good and evil are the two sides of one pole that keep the universe in movement. A misbalance may brig a lot of matters onto the surface that are more than shocking. An average individual is subjected to stress, various social interactions that can either carry a positive experience, or misleading conclusions and they put together force people to make decision that are easy but not right. A common thing nowadays that leads to another wave of stress and nightmares.

In the English language a linguist may find a good word, that correspond best to the state of things that are described with fear nowadays. This word is corruption and the definitions of it vary. The first is the state of decay, decomposition of any live matter on the Earth. Politicians, economists and other representatives define it implantation of illegal ways into the solid system for personal gain. There are so many manifestations of corruption that it is rather difficult to group them. The main are bribery, embezzlement, extortion, nepotism and other ways to corrupt the generally accepted system. Bribery is a crime that involves the offer or acceptance of money or other valuable matters in order to influence or take in control the sequence of actions involving the person that is in public duty. Embezzlement is the falsified ownership of property without the former agreement with the owner. Extortion is a criminal offense, which involves extortion money by threatening the subject by harming him, his property or the range of his acquaintances. Nepotism involves the favor of relatives and other close individuals in public matters. These types of corruption are more or less present in any independent state, regardless their political regime and religious believes.

There are no existing ways to exclude corruption from the system. There are still public scientists working on special features of this social phenomenon. Common sense is most likely to betray when there is a possibility to become wealthier and more powerful. There are some actions taken to bring up good citizen, but nothing can go against human nature but the very soul and heart.

What parents need to know about child safety and identification

There seems to be a general misconception concerning child safety and child identification. In speaking with parents, one thing becomes very clear. Parents commonly believe, that by recording their children’s fingerprints and DNA information, they have taken all the steps necessary in order to protect as well as provide identification for their children.

Unfortunately, this could not be further from the truth. Common sense dictates that the only time a child’s fingerprints or DNA information would ever become necessary would be in the worst-case scenario, after the unthinkable has happened.

We as parents would like to watch over our children 24-hours a day, thereby, ensuring our children’s safety. However, this is unrealistic.

In situations where young children get separated from their parents as well as natural disasters such as: hurricanes, floods, earthquakes and tsunamis, we are reminded time and again, that children do not carry identification.

A Canadian company seems to have taken a very logical approach towards helping parents protect their children. Their small label can give parents great peace of mind as far as their children are concerned. Jerry Scala founded Child ID Labels inc. in 1995, with the intentions of offering his identification concept to fellow members of his congregation. However, within nine months, the fledgling program gained national exposure with their first recovery.

The company’s first successful recovery happened on Easter Weekend, 1996, outside of Toronto, Canada. While his parents were in the kitchen, a small three year-old boy let himself out and wandered three blocks before ending up in a convenience store. The store’s clerk noticed the identification label on the outside of the back collar and contacted the toll free number on the id label. The authorities, with Child ID's help, had the young escapee in his parent’s arms in less than eight minutes.

Child ID’s program helps parents deal with everyday events that happen, not out of neglect, but are due to situations that are beyond our control. Unlike other programs that are passive in nature and wait for something to happen before they spring into action, This company’s unique focus and approach towards child safety and identification is proactive as well as preventative, thereby, offering parents an unparalleled amount of peace of mind.

In today’s world, identity theft is not at all uncommon and, therefore, a very real concern.

Each Child ID “kit” is assigned a unique, personal identification number (PIN) code, which is specific to each family.

The company supplies parents with an unlimited supply of the coded iron-on identification labels and coded weatherproof stickers, which can be placed on literally anything that leaves the home as well as key rings, which list the family's unique pin code, which can be used for school bags, sports bags, luggage etc.

The id labels and coded stickers protect the families privacy as they contain only the company name, a message that reads "If Found Call", a toll free number as well as the PIN code; this ensures the prompt and accurate identification of a child after a 1-800 number is called.

If anyone locates a lost child who is wearing the identification labels, a phone call is all it takes to identify the child and contact the parents.

Child ID Labels Inc.’s concept focuses on the fact that “Children do not carry id, if they did they would likely loose it. We as adults never leave home without our id, frightening but true; there is more identification on the neighborhood dogs than on our children.

For pre-teens, the elderly who suffer from Alzheimer’s as well as the intellectually challenged, the company also offers their version of a “no name” label, which simply reads in bold letters “If Found Call” and the same toll free number as well as the family’s PIN code. When called, the 1-800 number links the caller to a monitoring service, which is staffed twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

The company’s database contains the PIN codes assigned to families so there is no danger of anyone identifying the child except Child ID. One of the many advantages to this labelling system, is the labels can be as visible or invisible as the parents feel necessary.

The company recommends that for individuals who might be considered high flight risk, such as Autistic children or sufferers of Alzheimer’s, the label should be placed in plain view. In one case the company has recovered a 21 year-old autistic man twice.

This program seems to have taken everything into account. For those parents who believe that prevention far outweighs the cure, it’s nice to know that there is a company working to protect and keep our children safe.

Las vegas - dos and don ts

How long has it been since you’ve visited Las Vegas? If it’s been more than a blink of your eye, you won’t recognize it the next to you’re there!

I’ve learned to never expect the same LV that I remember. It’s a constantly evolving city that never sleeps! I know New York claims that distinction… but c’mon, you won’t see such drastic changes in NYC that you do in LV.

In Las Vegas, it’s Hotels down, followed by Hotels up. Six hotels have been imploded there in the last 10 years. And the newer hotels can hardly be classified as hotels… that term is to be reserved for other cities. So don’t expect the great “hotel bargains” and “free stuff” of the past. They disappeared with the $.99 dinners.

LV developers today, don’t build “hotels” anymore. They install mini-cities, mega-resorts, and the ultimate destinations! The new developments include: World-Class Chefs, Uber Spas, and amenities unheard of, or offered only to the super-rich not so long ago. Now, instead of the tacky diners and buffets, you are presented with the finest restaurants in the World, and the highest levels of entertainment. It’s a different Las Vegas!

However, there are some bargains to be found if you know where to look. Explore the older places. There, you’ll still find good deals on food. You can still get a $5 steak dinner at Ellis Island on Koval Lane.

One key to finding bargains is not where, but when! Don’t go at peak times. Visit in Mid-Summer for instance. You’ll need to take advantage of the AC everywhere, but the prices are lower then. Also, a good time to visit LV is during Christmas. It’s definitely an off-peak period. Don’t confuse that however with the following week; “New Years” the prices will be right back up during that period. Also, stay away during the larger conventions when LV is packed with convention attendees. During the Consumer Electronics Show in early January each year… the city is standing room only. If you don’t have to be there that week – Don’t! You should try to avoid weekends in LV too if you’re looking for a bargain. Mid-Week rates are lower.

Always plan in advance of your trip to LV. Do your research, or you’ll be overwhelmed and disappointed. All the best shows will be sold out; the restaurants will be accepting no more reservations. You must make your reservations and ticket purchases ($30 - $100+) at least 7 – 10 days before your trip. To help you, most reservation desks are open 24 hours every day!

If you plan well, you’ll be treated to gourmet meals prepared by celebrity chefs. The ubiquitous buffet is gone, (although, you’ll never find a better one than at the Aladdin); the 99ў dinners are gone. But, as always, there is no time limit to enjoy the tasty treats of LV… If it’s 3am, you’ll find great restaurants are still serving! Let me mention two still-great bargains. Not only because of the low price, but because the steak dinners are very good at the steakhouses at the Imperial Palace, and at Circus, Circus. Try them, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the existence of remnants of the past meal deals of LV!

Did I say there are no more freebies? Not so, you can still be treated to great entertainment for free. You must see the outdoor attractions including the Volcano at the Mirage, Rio’s Masquerade Show in the Sky, and the Sirens of Treasure Island. For the cost of a drink or two, there are indoor entertainment venues that are free as well. The lounges in most Casinos have ongoing musical acts with no cover charge. Ask your concierge for a recommendation.

When you fly into LV, if you’re not fortunate enough to be met by your casino host or the hotel limo, you’ll most likely take a taxi to your hotel. Don’t let the driver take you by way of the Airport Tunnel… it’s longer by about $10.00. Tell the driver to go down Paradise Road instead.

If you’re heading for the south end of the strip (MGM Grand, Tropicana, New York, New York) you’re taxi charge should be $8 - $9. Mid Strip; $12 - $13, and north end of the strip; $14 - $15)

While we’re discussing taxis… it is illegal to hail a cab in LV. There are taxi stands and every hotel has taxi pick-up and drop-off areas. You must go to one of those. The drivers will ignore you standing in the middle of the street waving at them. Instead, get to a driveway, there, they can turn in, get out of traffic, and let you jump in. One more thing; don’t try to pay the driver with chips. They won’t take them, and they won’t take credit cards either. It’s a cash town outside of the casinos! In fact, chips are rarely used outside of the casino… for anything!

Here’s a great time saver… the Harrah’s Group will let you check in to one of their hotels… AT THE AIRPORT! Harrah’s, Caesars, Bally’s, Horseshoe, Flamingo, Imperial Palace, and Rio all offer this great service… take advantage of it!

Don’t ask for hotel amenities if you’re not registered there as a hotel guest. You’ll end up being embarrassed and worse! However, the Hard Rock Cafй opens their pool to everyone on Sundays (their Spa too – where you can get a massage inside or poolside for $85 - $155).

LV has become very famous for their nightlife… I’m not talking about gambling and shows… I’m referring to the nightclubs. At any one given time, you’ll find 25 of the World’s Best DJs spinning in LV. Word of caution though… don’t try to see them all! You’ll end up spending your entire evening in line – trying to get in. It’s best to reserve a spot for yourself and stay put! Especially on weekends (again) the lines are brutal! Get on the VIP list if you can (you must be well known or well connected). Tightest hours?... 10pm – 4am – Wed – Sat. Dress codes enforced. And guys… bring a girl (or more) or you’ll likely see ONLY the outside of the place – period!

If you drive to LV, or rent a car while there, always use Valet Parking… it’s free with a tip! And when trying to get your car, remember the peak times include immediately following the end of a show when the lines at VP are longest. For the downtown properties, use the parking garages, and get your ticket validated. You might want to rent a car to see the dam and Lake Meade. But other than that... there really is no need. I remember one of the last times I rented a car in LV. The agency delivered the car to me at the airport, it was a Cadillac with 4 miles on it! Yep only four! I drove it to Caesars Palace and unloaded it, had it parked, and when I turned it in to the agency 9 days later, it had 14 miles on it. What a waste! I tell you this to save you the money. It is not necessary to have a car in LV!

It gets windy in LV… and often without warning. It’s not important unless you’re at the top of the Stratosphere, or the Eiffel Tower. They both close down in high winds. If there’s a 25mph wind, the elevators in the ET move at half speed… at 35mph they evacuate the tower, and at 40mph, they shutdown. The winds also will cause cancellation of the “Sirens of Treasure Island”.

You simply cannot do “The Strip” from one end to the other by car. There’s so much traffic on LV Blvd that it makes it virtually impossible. Again, there is a peak time: 2p – 6:30pm.

Can you walk it? Hmmm, are you nuts? It’s 120 degrees out… I told you to come here mid-summer, but I also said to use the Air Conditioning everywhere! There are many alternatives to walking the strip. But for the little jogs between hotels, always use the crosswalks. You’re one of 30 Million visitors all heading to different places. The chaos is confusing and frightening – for you and for drivers! Always use the crossovers too. They are very convenient (most with elevators) and provide the fastest way to cross the busiest streets in America! By the way, if you “Jay-Walk” you’re risking your life and a fine of $150 - $250!

While you’re walking here, you can be drinking too! The “open container law” states that you can walk and drink ON the sidewalks, crosswalks, and crossovers… BUT, don’t throw empties, and don’t take that open container into a car… that’s illegal! A bus is OK!

Google best search engine optimization seo practices part 1

This article will guide you through the important steps on how to create and maintain sites in Google. If you have an existing site, use this as a reference to ensure that you are doing everything right. I am going to review 5 areas at a time.

First things first… the domain name dilemma.

Your domain name should be brandable. Keyword rich with hyphens type of domains are not longer relevant. Focus on a. com since it is the one searchers will enter when not sure about extensions, and is the easiest to brand. As far as registering it, do it for more than one year since this helps with the “trustbox” in Google. If you have many related domain names for the same content it is always good to only take one as the main domain and to redirect (301) any others to it. This way, you can make sure not to have duplicate content issues.

Less is more, when it comes to web design.

Your text content should outweigh your html code. Make sure your code is “search engine friendly”. That is a big different with being W3C compliant. The W3C is too limited, and a lot of code warnings will appear with perfectly acceptable code. Their validation system is simply outdated. You want to be search engine compliant, not W3C compliant. Keep this in mind.

Javascript and CSS, in code or out?

Good question. JavaScript and CSS should be in external files. They will increase page size otherwise. Specially when having the same code for menus or styles on multiple pages, when this can be easily fixed by doing it externally.

Demystifying the page size limit.

There is NOT page size limitation here. There you have it. The 101kb limit thing is absolutely incorrect. But do not take this the wrong way. You need to make sure the size of your page is about 40K on average. Up to 50K is OK. Consider loading time as a factor, and the text/graphics ratio is very important.

Web hosting solutions and their impact.

Use your own dedicated server whenever possible. Make sure you have a static IP address assigned to either individual domains or groups of domains, and make sure that it is clean, by not being in any blacklist.

Potty training dealing with constipation

Some children don’t like having bowel movements, perhaps because they have felt pain before, and now resist going. This resistance can cause constipation as the faeces become hard and compacted, making bowel movements even more painful.

Here are some questions you can ask to determine whether your child is constipated or not.

• have they had a bowel movement in the past few days?

• have they had less than their normal amount of bowel movements this week?

• were their stools hard and dry?

• was it painful for them to pass?

• do they have stomach cramps or a distended stomach?

• are they complaining of being nauseous?

• are they losing weight?

• have they been vomiting for no apparent reason?

• are their underpants regularly soiled with claylike or liquid faeces?

If you have answered yes to several of the above then you’ll know you need to take action and help your child. You can’t make your child have a bowel movement so what can you do?

Get your child to drink more fluids, preferably water.

• If they are severely constipated and over nine months of age then some prune juice mixed with water should sort them out overnight.

• Make sure their diet is high in fibre – try giving them some dried fruit or grapes and reduce the amount of dairy they have.

• Reduce their sugar intake

• Licorice can have a laxative effect and is a better option than medication which should only be given with your physician’s approval.

• Make sure they are getting enough exercise – it may be reflection of a sluggish metabolism.

• Encourage them to go as soon as they feel the need.

• If they just don’t like it then talk about the importance of having regular bowel movements and how everyone does it.

• Encourage your child to sit on the potty for ten minutes an hour or so after each meal to see if you can encourage some regularity.

• Make sure your child can rest their feet on a stool or the floor so that they feel stable and balanced and can easily push.

• Try to make having a bowel movement more pleasant for your child by encouraging them to read a book or listen to music while they sit.

If the constipation doesn’t go away then it is best to see your family doctor for advice as it may be indicative of something more serious.

How to grow your online business ventures

For any online venture to grow it will require time and capital. And your online business is no exception to that rule.

People have been told that the web is a place where they can make money without working too hard and without spendingmuch money, this is simply not true and my experience tells me that both money and time need to be invested wisely to be successful. I have found that over the previous year I have spent an inordinate amount of time putting together information and products essential to help me do what I do well online even better.

It really isn't that hard to make money fast online, you just need to thoroughly understand the Web and how it works. The only thing you will have to do to start making money online by making a website is have an open mind and be eager to learn.

However, before you start your online search for the best ways to make money there are a few simple ideas that may help make the ordeal more effective and free of hassle, thus making sure that you get the best type of products and programs for your needs.

All you need do is have enough traffic headed in the direction of a blog or site and simply add in with the relevant affiliate links to products relevant to the topic, for example if your blog is about finance then provide affiliate links to finance based products and services and you could quickly find yourself earning some money every month after you have garnered some traffic.

Think about what some of the masters do here, all they do is look for the most relevant high paying affiliate programs that work best with the audience their blogs are targeting and drive traffic to them. So how do you get the traffic in the first place ? There are many coaches and mentors that specialize in building websites and the marketing training to teach you what to do to get traffic to your site so thats where I would go to get the best independant information on traffic as that subject could take me all day to discuss.

Here are a few legitimate online opportunities for everybody to earn extra cash fast that I use myself everyday.

Google adsense, You let Google put their ads on your website or blog and you get paid when people click on the ads, this has to be one of the best ways to make money on the web.

Use your writing skills to set up a blog or website and promote it. It makes a lot of sense for you to promote your services using your writing skills and you can write many pieces about it that will be taken up by article directories around the net and this will provide you some traffic as well as one way links to your site, this in turn should provide some search engine traffic as well from Google and Yahoo if done correctly. What’s more, Google is providing the tools you need to "make money online" free. But they, like anything else, require use of the proper tools and resources if you're to expect any kind of massive success.

Many successful things have a roadmap for success and in the end its just a matter of mixing the right ingredients together. Many of which require developing your own web site, attracting traffic, placing payments and other tasks required for generating revenue. Several good ideas can propel you to outer space, because on the Internet, not even the sky is the limit.

So go out and seek information from anyone who has been successful online and learn all you can because learning everyday is how I have been able to be successful online with my own ventures.

Make gardening your next hobby

Do you love spending time outside? Do you love making your environment beautiful? Do you love eating healthy and natural foods? If so, consider making gardening your next hobby.

For years I was turned off by the concept of gardening. I pictured old women with time on their hands who filled their days by planting excessive amounts of huge and bright flowers in their yards. A close friend of mine began gardening a few years ago and I have recently gotten hooked on it as well. Lately my wife or kids have to drag me in the house as the sun sets each night. There is something about the simplicity and purity of gardening that I just love.

Ever since I can remember I have always been concerned with making the environment around me beautiful. I cannot stand going to work in offices that are filled with florescent lights and I cannot live in homes that do not have color or character. My addiction to gardening began when I realized how much it added to the beauty and feeling of my yard. Gardening made my yard and home seem inviting and cared for. Many friends and family have visited and commented on what a difference our gardens make to the look and feel of our property.

Gardening plants and vegetables has become one of the most relaxing and peaceful things I do. At the end of a stressful work week there is nothing I'd rather do than spend a Saturday in my garden. Lately I've been busy researching new ideas on the internet and at the library. I'm looking for better ways to grow certain flowers and I'm looking for the perfect timing to plant my vegetables. I began gardening with the intention of only planting bushes and flowers, but after a short time I dived into the realm of trying to raise our own vegetables. It has become a family affair to wander through the vegetable garden and pick the perfect pieces to accompany each meal.

If you think you might be interested in gardening, talk to a friend who loves to garden or get yourself to a library or book store and learn all you can about gardening. There is so much to be learned and it is relatively easy to pick up if you have some extra time and money to devote. Begin with a small garden and then expand as you go. One of the worst things you can do when you first begin gardening is to overwhelm yourself with a huge garden that you cannot take care of.

Think seriously about making gardening a part of your home and hobbies. It brings beauty, peace and food all at the same time.

Unusual places to tee up the next time you travel

Golf--it's been called the ultimate travelers' sport. More than 17 million people hit the links while they are away on vacation or a business trip. While Arizona, Hawaii and California are typically known for their expansive, breathtaking greens, there are many top-rated courses that can be found in the most unexpected of places.

According to travel expert and Travel Channel host Tracy Gallagher, "It's all in the research. Before taking a trip-whether traveling on a family vacation, for a weekend getaway or on business--a great nearby golf course can easily be found with a little advance planning."

So why not hit the links the next time you hit the road? Some of Gallagher's favorite U. S. golfing destinations may surprise you.

• Albuquerque, N. M.-With spectacular scenery and desert climate, Albuquerque is a superb place to golf. In fact, over the past few years, developers have capitalized on the area's beauty and, as a result, many new courses have opened throughout the city.

• Washington, D. C.-For a stroke of something different, try golfing in our nation's capital. One wouldn't think there would be room for a golf course in the immediate 68-square-mile area of Washington, D. C.; however, the proximity of some of the courses to the downtown area makes golfing an easy addition to a sightseeing trip. In fact, you can even see many of the historic monuments from several of the nearby fairways.

• Portland, Ore.-The Pacific Northwest certainly doesn't have typical golfing weather, but the frequent showers give the golf greens a shade of emerald you won't find anywhere else. If Oregon is on your travel itinerary, be sure to check out the courses in the Portland area.

Whether heading to the West Coast, Midwest, Deep South or the Eastern Seaboard, keep the following in mind as you plan your next trip:

• Check with local courses--many offer a special family package rate.

• For a more affordable golfing experience, check prices for playing at "twilight."

• If you can't get a tee time at one of the courses near your destination, many of the locations have driving ranges so you can at least practice your swing.

• Look for hotels, such as the Hilton Garden Inn, that offer a golf package. "Golf Amenity #18" is the largest golf promotion available at Hilton Garden Inn hotels throughout North America, which offers guests whose stay includes a Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday night, from June 1-Oct. 22, 2006, a complimentary green fees voucher (good for two people) that's valid at more than 330 golf courses in the U. S. and Canada. Guests also receive a complimentary golf tips booklet, written by Golf Digest instructors, filled with pointers to improve your game. It's a one-of-a-kind deal that travelers-both business and leisure-can take advantage of this summer.

Gotta get your outdoor gear

If you love spending time in the outdoors, like I do, then you know that there is nothing you would rather have than the right outdoor gear for every activity you love. There is no gift you would rather receive on Christmas or your birthday than an addition to your collection of outdoor gear. You search the internet and catalogs for it and you frequent the stores that sell outdoor gear. You cannot help it, you just love being in the outdoors and having the outdoor gear to prove it.

Hopefully you take time to really develop a passion for an outdoor sport or leisure activity before you run out and purchase all the proper equipment. Take advice from someone who has done that too many times - don't do it. I know how hard it is after a great experience to not want all of the outdoor gear to do it like a professional, but wait. Try out the activity several times before make a decision about purchasing the gear.

Before you decide to make a big purchase try renting the outdoor gear for your favorite activities or ask a friend to borrow theirs. This will not only help you save money for a little longer on gear but it will also provide you with the benefit of trying out different kinds of outdoor gear before you settle in on what is best for you. After a process of trial and error you can make a responsible purchase because you know the exact variety of outdoor gear that you like.

Consider too, whether this newly found activity will be something you love for many years to come or if perhaps it is just a fleeting hobby. If you sense that your interest in this sport or activity may decrease over time you may be able to purchase less expensive or less technical outdoor gear. I know it may feel tough, but come to grips with the fact that you will probably not be an expert at every outdoor activity you enjoy. Try to choose one or two activities at a time to really throw your time, energy, and money into.

Once you narrow the field of activities that you really love and after you have taken time to borrow or rent the outdoor gear you can begin to purchase what you like. It is important to be selective and choosy as you shop. We all know the frustration of not having just the right outdoor gear. Shop at a store, usually the smaller the better, that has a staff of knowledgeable employees that have actually done the activities you are inquiring about. Make sure that the outdoor gear you purchase has a fair return policy or even a warranty in case of any problems.

All that is left to do is enjoy your new outdoor gear! Enjoy that first weekend getaway and put that new outdoor gear to good use. You know your next purchase of outdoor gear is probably just a little while away, so enjoy what your newest purchase while it is still new.

The forex market exposed wait until you see what s inside

Dear Friend,

Forex traders are raking in big profits with low risk high yield, investment strategies that exist only in the foreign currency market. Especially those who have a trained eye that can see excessive profit points that explode when done correctly. The forex market has created many millionaires who understand the exceptional leverage that is provided by trading currency. To be exact a 100:1 leverage ratio, this means you can leverage your money 1x100 so $100 leverages $10,000 and $10,000 leverages $100,000. This extraordinary benefit of the currency market allows you to realize windfall profits in a short period of time and can quickly make you a lot I mean a whole lot of money. Big Businesses, banks, and wealthy investors have been making billions for years from foreign currency exchange, and now the little guy with a few hundred bucks has the same opportunity to profit from this supercharged money making forex machine.

My friend the forex boom is just beginning and I have a secret weapon that neither the newbie nor professional forex fanatics possess. Let me put this in perspective for you, lets say you could have been friends with Warren Buffet before he became a billionaire and he was willing to show you all his techniques and insight into the markets. Would you have listened? I hope you answered yes, because every investor that got involved with Warren Buffet before he became a household name has since become super multi millionaires. Now you have a similar opportunity, but there is one problem (a good problem) the leverage that is available to you through the forex market will speed up the amount of time it takes to make substantial gains that made those select few multi millionaires.

There is a little known multi millionaire forex trading champion that I discovered online who has been dumping his number crunching brain power and secret proprietary forex strategies which have made millions for everyone to see. You would not believe some of the simple yet powerful techniques this forex fiend was revealing. I mean I was floored at the sight of some the stuff this guy was showing me because I knew it meant the difference between making millions of dollars, or still trying to figure out what a pip was (forex jargon). I had to put this in writing so everyone could A. (know about the forex market) and B. (get access to this forex fortune teller). The forex market has opened up new doors for everyday Joe Schmoes such as myself and will continue to grow and give new opportunities to those who want to discover a new way to wealth. The fact of the matter is when you combine a market like foreign currencies and a Warren Buffet like forex genius that equals profits, period.

Communicating on purpose

Last week I attended an excellent 2-day workshop called "Staying Grounded When on the Spot," offered by the Public Conversations Project, in Watertown, MA. Geared to help facilitators and trainers manage challenging group moments, I found that the skills applied in a variety of settings, including one-on-one communication "hot spots."

When a conversation becomes difficult, I can return to a more centered, grounded state by asking two questions:

1) What is the purpose of my communication?

2) Will the choices I make serve that purpose?

Let's try it. Think of a conversation that you need to hold but have been putting off because you're concerned that it might not go well. What is your purpose for having the conversation? It helps to have a useful purpose. For example, trying to get the other person to change is not useful. You have no control over that. On the other hand, learning about his experience could be very useful.

What choices could you make to serve this purpose? Listening is a good start, and summarizing to clarify that you both heard the same thing. Asking questions that validate your partner and seek to understand his view also work beautifully. What is your purpose, and what choices will support it?

Other useful purposes could be sharing your experiences, or looking for mutually beneficial ways to solve a problem. Perilous purposes include venting on your partner, or making sure he understands how wrong he is. It sounds silly - who would ever choose such a purpose? But I know I've done it.

One caution: sometimes I think I'm going into a conversation with a useful purpose, like learning, but I find that the feeling or attitude behind it is more about revenge or punishment. So though I use the "appropriate" words, my partner still feels attacked.

Paying attention to your purpose for the conversation will give you the courage to have it and help you to stay grounded when things get hot.

Spotting the signs of anorexia

Eating disorders are dangerous illnesses that affect both physical and mental health. More and more people become the victims of eating disorders nowadays. A disturbing fact is that eating disorders such as anorexia (Anorexia Nervosa) and bulimia (Bulimia Nervosa) have high mortality rates. Around ten percent of people with anorexia die from starvation and malnourishment.

The persons with anorexia usually deny the facts of being confronted with a problem. They start by feeling constrained by their body weight and physical appearance and then end up by developing obsessions with food, weight and staying thin. They indulge in harmful behaviors, carefully portioning and restricting the amount of food they consume. People with anorexia also have a false perception of their body image, living with the permanent impression that they are fat, even if they are underweight.

Anorexia, just like other eating disorders can be treated. However, in order to overcome the illness, people with anorexia need all the help they can get. Although at first they may refuse any kind of intervention from the exterior, it is important to encourage them and to provide them with care and support. In order to prevent and to overcome anorexia, it is vital to keep an eye on its signs. If you suspect that someone you know may be suffering from such an eating disorder, it is very important to know the signs of anorexia.

The signs of anorexia are usually easy to identify, due to dramatic changes in physical aspect and behavior. The most obvious sign of anorexia is inappropriate body weight. Most anorexics weigh a lot less than they should. The persons with anorexia are constantly preoccupied with their weight, the amount of calories contained by the food they consume and with keeping drastic diets. Anorexics tend to bring issues regarding food and body weight into discussion in every conversation. They sometimes do it unknowingly, due to their need of expressing their obsessive, troubling thoughts.

Other signs of anorexia are excessive physical activities like jogging or work outs. Also, people with anorexia tend to isolate themselves from the world and they refuse to participate in many activities due to their complexions of being fat and repulsive. Anxiety, agitation and even violent impulses are also signs of anorexia.

Women and girls that suffer from anorexia experience irregular menstrual periods. Low body weight and menstrual problems or infertility are obvious signs of anorexia in girls.

Anorexics usually have unpredictable reactions and they quickly jump from one mood to another. They may appear to be relaxed and calm at one moment, while the next moment they may burst into tears. Emotional instability is therefore another sign of anorexia.

Other signs of anorexia are unusual hair loss, internal disturbances like stomachaches, burns or constipation, migraines, low blood pressure, unstable body temperature, heart problems and dehydration.

Keep in mind that in order to prevent an anorexic from causing further damage to oneself you should quickly spot the presence of the disorder by paying attention to the signs of anorexia.

Gnash of the titans

The Winter Olympics and America seem only to be fair weather friends ...

Underwhelming television ratings for the recently completed games in Turin indicate that the USA is only inclined to watch when their athletes are winning. Specifically, they watch when they expect to see certain athletes winning. Those would be the athletes who have been heavily hyped in the run-up to the Games.

Two examples of this point are skater Nancy Kwan and skiier Bode Miller. Both are definitely capable of winning any competition they enter. Both were considered favorites to earn medals in Turin. As a result, both experienced extensive publicity campaigns that were not of their own making. Both, however, failed to meet expectations; Kwan had to withdraw from her competition due to injury and Miller's medal chase went 0-for-5 in his events.

NBC Sports, holder of the American broadcast rights, was left with a star-crossed presentation. The spectre of total failure is not 'must see' TV.

This is one of the primary differences between how the Olympics are perceived in the USA as opposed to the rest of the world. Perhaps it's a holdover from the Cold War, when the Soviets and Americans actually believed a superior medal count proved a superior socio-economic system. Even though the Soviet lie was ultimately proved via populism, it's possible the Americans never did change their mindset.

Winning has an important place in life, not just in the USA, but everywhere. So does coping with loss. That is not the key here. Neither is the fact that the American way is littered with overzealous win-at-all-cost Little League coaches, sports-meddling dads and stage moms.

The important delineation of note is that, in the USA, it's vital as to who wins. Star power is amplified by the American media. This factor, for example, is what took the National Basketball Association from a sporting afterthought whose championship series was broadcast on a late-night tape-delay basis as recently as the late 1970s to a media spectacle in the early 1980s. That's when the league decided to focus on two new talents, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson, promoting them instead of their teams.

It worked.

It worked even better when Michael Jordan followed them.

Still, these are exceptional athletes who don't come around that often. When their careers are over, it's rare when another exceptional athlete is there to replace them. There is usually a cotillion of pretenders, but they prove to be just that.

Ask the NBA.

They've attempted to promote others, but the general public is wise enough to discern the difference between 'exceptional' and 'talented enough to be a professional.' So, the focus on star power now has NBA ratings in decline. They've been hoisted on their own petard, so to speak.

In the duration, though, other sports in the USA noted the NBA's initial success and attempted to emulate it by promoting star power of their own. The practice of putting a name forward became a foundation of almost every national publicity campaign for sporting endeavors. Logically, it was something to which the American sporting public became accustomed.

In events such as the Olympics, where not every sport listed is a household thought in the USA, it's clear that NBC felt a strong need to insert star power. Their secondary tactic was similar and successful to an extent in previous years, namely, focus on a human interest story to emotionally attach the viewer to a participant. Ultimately, though, there will be more regular-life athletes getting medals than those who overcame obstacles in their lives.

Other countries --- even 'winter' nations such as Canada, Russia and the Scandinavians --- emphasize the competition over the competitors. They appreciate the skill of the sport. Television ratings throughout Europe were excellent, with only the Germans amassing a large medal haul (they were the overall winners in that category, incidentally). They took note of stars, of course, but it mattered little that those stars were from other countries. They took serious pride in their own stars, of course, but recognized them as a part of a bigger picture rather than that picture serving as a backdrop for them.

It's not only a refreshing difference, but a logical one. Especially when a network needs to cover the rights fees being charged by the Olympic movement.

NBC Sports has announced it will show a profit on its Turin package, most probably because much of the advertising was pre-sold with little provision for ratings-influenced price fluctuations. That tactic worked because of the American success in the previous Winter Games; coincidentally, they were held in Salt Lake City. It may not be so effective for their 2010 Winter Games package when the current ratings are pushed back in their face.

The NBC coverage in Turin excellent from a presentation standpoint. They used the cable networks in their stable --- CNBC, MSNBC and USA --- to great extent, so if one wanted to watch a particular event, odds were that it was being shown somewhere. The only drawback was, these events were not promoted nearly as well as the perceived 'star power' attractions. Only a devotee would seek the coverage. That is not a strategy that optimizes strong viewership.

The American media has conditioned its public to expecting charasmatic competition. The Olympic movement expects spirited competition. The American networks groan when smaller-market teams advance to a championship series; they'd prefer a New York - Los Angeles meeting any day. The Olympic movement rejoices when smaller-country teams achieve such a standing; Sweden-vs-Finland in the men's hockey final sent ratings through the roof in those countries, but it did well in most other nations, too, as the game itself was nothing short of spectacular in both drama and skill.

It's already clear that this era will be known in history as the CyberCentury. The world is more accessible to everyone more than ever before. It only makes sense that viewer interest can expand beyond the parameters of star power to the entire experience of a competition. Other countries' media have always known this. Manchester United, for example, is still a major draw without David Beckham, and when he ultimately moves from Real Madrid, the same will be said again.

When the American media re-discovers that it's the competition --- not just the star competitors --- that make sports attractive to viewers, the Winter Olympics will once again enjoy a resurgence of ratings popularity in the USA. Such a realization would be a welcome breath of fresh air, even during those winter days when you can see it.

How to make money using remote site syndication rss

You may already know that RSS stands for Remote Site Syndication, but what does that really mean to you and more importantly, how can you use RSS to help you make more money?

Simply put, RSS feeds are written in XML, a special mark up language much like html. That means that they have mechanisms included that identify structures in a document. The structures define the content and how that content will be displayed within that document. RSS is what makes big news websites possible: RSS files are used to create a data feed which will deliver headlines, links or virtually any other piece of information to a channel viewer application, commonly called a news reader.

These readers are subscribed to certain RSS feeds and constantly monitor them, alerting the user when every any new information has been added to the feed. So, how can you use this to your advantage as an internet marketer? Here are the most popular ways to integrate RSS feeds into your marketing effort: you can use RSS to replace any email marketing you are currently doing, take advantage of RSS feeds to drive traffic to your blog or sales site or create your own RSS feed so your messages and information show up on thousands of websites, blogs and desktops online.

Although many marketing gurus will claim that email marketing isn't dead, with the advent of increasing spam complaints and filters coupled with the threat of viruses originating from an email, more and more people are leery of even opening your email. So even if you have a large email list, the likelihood of your emails being opened is becoming increasingly slim.

With RSS, your messages won't ever get filtered and have a much higher chance of actually being read vs. a typical email. And your marketing results can only be better when people actually read your message. You can even incorporate autoresponders in conjunction with RSS.

Including RSS feeds on your content site or blog allows you to add fully dynamic theme-related content to your web pages making your site or blog very popular with the search engines. The constantly updated content is exactly what the search engines crave and helps increase your search engine ranking, driving more traffic to your page.

Probably the best way to use RSS to help your online marketing efforts is to create your own RSS feed. This way your information will be published on any website that is using the RSS feed you are supplying that information to. There's even automated software to submit your RSS feeds to the various directories that supply the feeds to marketers using them as described above.

RSS is still a relatively unknown method of driving traffic to websites, but is becoming more popular every day. As an internet marketer, this is a great opportunity to take advantage of this new technology before the rest of the online gurus jump on the bandwagon.

How to get a free laptop - without referrals

As many of you have heard there are websites that give away laptops.

Certain of these sites require you to complete different offers and have from 3 to 5 people (referrals) who would also complete the offers – only that you get your free laptop.

Recently NBC interviewed the owner of one of the “Get a Free Laptop” sites. It was confirmed that you can get a free laptop through the site – without having to refer anyone else. The site offers you two (2) options;

1. You complete 2 silver offers, 2 gold offers and 6 platinum offers – you get a free laptop.

2. You complete 2 silver offers, 2 gold offers and get 20 offers completed by other people (referrals) – you get a free laptop.

So how does the whole “Get a Free Laptop” system works?

The owner of the website offering you a free laptop gets paid a decent amount of money by advertiser every time you complete an offer. Users do complete the offers because most of them are FREE trials, some cost you a dollar or two, all these offers could be canceled at any time – so you aren’t stuck paying for a membership you do not like to find useful. Advertisers pay a big buck for every sign up because they gain a potential lifetime customers, some of the offers are so great that you wouldn’t want to cancel.

It is a win-win-win situation for everyone. You get a free laptop and most of the time you don’t cancel your subscription to the offers since you find them to be very useful and at a great value. The advertiser is happy because he gained another customer, who might be referring the product/service to other people, of course if he’s happy with it. The website owner is happy because he got paid for you signing up, sent you a free laptop and now enjoys his profit – which is usually over 400$ per customer.

As stated in NBC interview, more and more people sign up for the free laptop. How to get a free laptop without referrals has in fact became a newest and hottest trend in the USA. As people want to be more mobile, personal computers lose their popularity and customers have a bigger appetite for laptops and notebooks, especially when they can get it at absolutely no cost, or almost.

You have to be cautious about these websites though, many of them are pure scam.

You will complete the offers and never hear from the site again. When signing up to one of these sites, make sure they provide the means of getting in touch with them for any possible inquiries on your part as well as a “Gift Status” tool, so you could verify that all the required offers are completed and your laptop is on its way. A sure way of getting a free laptop is signing up to verified websites, the ones you see on TV. NBC and CNN reviewed some of these offers and confirmed a few sites that are legit and do live up to their promises.

Email to telephone - innovative tool or high tech hype

What will those technology geeks come up with next? Hardly a day goes by anymore, that some new and "cool" high tech gadget or service is unveiled. Anyway, one of latest I've come across is something called "email to telephone" and I just wanted to pass along my thoughts on this "potentially" time-saving and innovative tool.

Email to Telephone does pretty much what the name implies. It allows you to send or receive email messages over the phone. More specifically, it allows you to listen to email messages over the phone and it also allows you to send voice messages as email via any type of phone - cell, satellite or land-line.

At first glance, I didn't feel it was something that had a whole bunch of inherit value but the more I looked at it the more my eyes were opened. It's probably not for everyone but then again, in this crazy "to and fro" world, it's another one of those high tech tools that can save us a little more of that most precious and valued resource of all - time.

I've come up with a few reasons why "email to telephone" may be right for you.

Unreliable or Non Existent Internet Access

Internet access isn't always reliable. In many parts of the world and even in some of the less populated areas of the United States internet access isn't always what many of us have come to expect - fast and reliable.

What's nice about "email to telephone" is that you don't need internet access to continue to stay in the communication loop because you can still send and receive email messages via your phone. This technology allows you to continue to monitor all of your messages regardless of where you find yourself.

You can keep monitoring your email even if you find yourself outside of the digital coverage area of your phone, such as deserts or mountains. In areas where you can no longer send text messages you can still listen to your email messages because this technology also works an analog signal.

Curiosity Killed the Cat

If you're anything like me you've become accustomed to staying in the know and now you can. You now have access to your computer's email inbox pretty much anywhere, anyplace, anytime. On the one hand a nice benefit, but by no stretch of the imagination a life saving benefit. However, from a peace of mind or psychology perspective having the type of access that "email to telephone" affords you is hard to put a price on.

Multi Tasking

Receiving emails by phone is ideal for the busy individual on the run and in today's hectic world - who isn't busy. Between work, errands, the kids and everything else we don't always have the time to sit down in front of our computer - at work or home. But we can always find a little dead time while traveling to check our phone for messages.

Instant Alerts

Some people need instant alerts. There job requires that they can be contacted at all times. Information Technology (IT) people are perfect example. If a company's website goes down for lengthy period of time, the CEO won't be pleased if the IT manager says, "Sorry, I was out to lunch."

Other people have the misfortune of having to deal with and communicate with high-tech show-offs like myself. For these unfortunate people, who don't necessarily have the same type of passion for 21st century technology "email to telephone" can be one avenue that will allow them to join the modern world.

I've outlined just a few of the advantages of "email to telephone" and hopefully I've opened your mind to the many possibilities this exciting technology has to offer. On the hand, only you can decide if it's right for you but even if you're one of those technology dinosaurs who doesn't easily adapt, this technology may still be for you because it's not only cool but it's also easy to use. Technology… you've got to love it!

Pursefection

Many women are looking for that special accessory which will give the ultimate perfection to the wardrobe at hand. It is the “Ne Plus Ultra” otherwise known as Pursefection. Most women strive to create that flawlessness look that others will idolize and seek to copy. Some women try to create an appeal that others only dreamed that they would have thought of first. You see it everyday when you look at trendy magazines and fashion vogues.

How is this achieved? Simply by one accessory that others see you flaunt, your purse. It is this masterpiece that hangs at your side or carried so prominently in your hand. It is the one item that you spend days looking for to ensure it will match a variety of wardrobes as well as enhancing your figure. Once fully realized you achieve the ultimate, Pursefection.

This achieved, women stop you to find out where you found your masterpiece, others simply make a comment about its trendy and stylish looks, yet others compliment about how great it looks.

It is beau ideal, the perfect embodiment of a concept created by you. Who would be caught with an accessory that does not match? Not you! The Pursefection is the one item before you leave the house that you spend minutes even hours to swap out necessities between them to have the right one. The right purse or handbag that creates the flawless you.

So don’t be the one who is idolizing others, wanting and trying to achieve Pursefection. Be the one who is leading the pack, making the statement, and turning heads. Make your statement, make your mark. Be the trend setter by boldly creating that look that others don’t have or haven’t seen. Be the one who is not afraid to set the appeal. Acquire multiple purses which speak you and your language. Display your style and let others only wish they were you.

What is your car trying to tell you

Over all my years of driving the one thing that still causes me the most concern is when I hear a new noise. This drives me particularly crazy every spring. After months of having the windows rolled up it's very disconcerting when you first roll down the window to get a whiff of that fresh springtime air and you start hearing all those noises you car makes, and perhaps has been making all winter long. Then you start to think "what's that noise?", "how long has it been doing that?"

You drive your car everyday. You know how it should handle. If you notice something amiss, and more than once, get it checked out. You may save yourself a lot of inconvenience and money in the long run. You and your mechanic need to be a team when it comes to the maintenance of your car. You however need to be the eyes and ears of the team.

Every so often pay attention when you're pulling your car out of a parking space. Is there any fresh fluid? It's hard to tell sometimes due to the stains left from other cars. How about your driveway? Are you seeing new stains? If you are, what color is the fluid? Oil will be quite obvious, appearing black or dark brown. Antifreeze is fairly easy to recognize too with it's yellow green color. Also, antifreeze has an unmistakable odor. A reddish fluid could be transmission or power steering fluid.

How is your car handling? It is pulling to one side when you stop? It may be time for a front end alignment. Keep a check on your tire pressure. Under inflated tires can cause lower gas mileage. Get your tires rotated on a regular basis to help prevent wear.

Are you breaks squealing? Get to the mechanic as soon as possible, don't let this problem go on. If you do continue to drive you may find yourself replacing worn rotors along with break pads. Rotors can be very expensive.

Is you car acting sluggish? It is not accelerating like it used to? It may be time for a tune up. Are you noticing a hesitation? May be the gas filter.

Make sure you have your oil changed every 3,000 miles. This is a very good rule for any car, new or old. When I bought my new Toyota truck twenty years ago the first thing my mechanic said was that if I kept the oil changed I'd "get at least 200,000 miles out of the engine". Well, fifteen years later I had 189,000 and the engine was still going strong. Unfortunately the frame was rusting, which was her ultimate demise.

Cars manufactured today are much better than they were 20 years ago and if you listen to what you car is trying to tell you, you should be able to have many worry free years with your car too.

Electronic air purifier improve your life

The air that we are breathing on a normal daily basis is likely much dirtier than you would ever imagine. Many people do not realize that the air we breathe is contaminated by fumes from gases and chemicals, pet dander, dust, dirt, smoke and so much more. How can we remove these hazardous particles from our home and ensure that the air we are breathing is much better?

Why Choose an Electronic Air Purifier?

Many people do not know what to choose when looking at the options available in air purifiers. The choices are almost limitless and can be quite overwhelming. Many people consider electronic air purifiers to be the simplest to use, allowing the least amount of maintenance time to keep it functioning properly. Electronic air purifiers enable you to set the settings for your home, and then give you more time to spend doing the things you enjoy instead of worrying when to run the electronic air purifier next.

Electronic air purifiers also have the benefit of being capable of cleaning the air of your entire house if the unit is placed in the appropriate place and the correct settings are used. This enables you to clean the air in your whole home with the use of one machine that is dedicated as much as you are to keeping your family healthy.

Finding the Right Electronic Air Purifier

Many people become completely confused when they are trying to look for an electronic air purifier. The options that are available to them become quite overwhelming. However, with some work it is possible to find the perfect match for your needs. For example, you should determine the air capacity of your home to ensure that the electronic air purifier unit you purchase is large enough to handle your needs. It is much cheaper to purchase a larger electronic air purifier, rather than purchasing two of them.

You also should seek an electronic air purifier that will operate very quietly and not add a continuous supply of noise in your home. Many consumers who purchase loud machines end up turning them off, which renders the machine useless. This is a waste of money and does not improve the air quality; you need a quiet electronic air purifier unit so that it will stay on.

You should also compare the service plans as well as warranties that accompany each model of electronic air purifier you are looking at. You can comparison shop online in the comfort of your home, so that you are armed with all of the information you need, rather than base your decision on the information that a sales person is giving you.

What to do for a home biz

So you want to start your own business – your own legacy – but you don't know what? Well you can start out by knowing that this is a common challenge faced by many, so don't feel bad. At the least, you're taking time to think about it, and not just going after the first thing that presents itself.

There are several ways to go about deciding what to do for a business. What I suggest, and what I do, is finding something that you are passionate about. As tempting as it is to go after the latest and greatest fad, eventually that will fade and you'll be left wondering what to do next.

If you spend some time searching for what you are passionate about, and what you feel is your underlying purpose here in life, well then you will never have to worry about what to do next. Your business will be an extension of you, and will be perpetual.

If you are willing to spend the time upfront, there are many exercises to help you identify your passions and what makes you tick. You can then take that and turn it into a viable business. I won't go into too much detail here, but look out for another article or simply search online for some tips on how to do this. Or if you simply email me, I'll be glad to reply back with some tools and exercises I've found very effective.

However, many people want to get started doing something right away. I can understand this, and in some ways it can be beneficial. You can begin honing some very basic skills while at the same time learning what you like and don't like. I went about it in this manner. I worked for several years in network marketing and learning online marketing while at the same time educating myself – books, seminars, tele-classes – and learning what I like and what I am passionate about until I finally discovered what I believe my purpose is – what speaks to my soul.

Call it an 'Earn As You Learn' plan. If this is attractive to you, well there are many network marketing opportunities, affiliate marketing opportunities, sales, copywriting, etc. Find something that interests you, research it thoroughly, then jump into it and learn as much as you can, and make as much as you can! ;)

The catch here is there are so many opportunities out there. Just make sure you research them so you're plugging into a solid and successful system. (Hint: a successful company does not always equal a successful system, especially in network marketing or MLM).

Again, if you want help finding out what to look for in your due diligence you can email me and I'll provide you with some tips and resources for the sake of space here.

The key, though, is to get started! Don't be afraid to make mistakes, just make sure you're enjoying what you're doing!

The top 6 reasons to attend a camper show

In the early part of the year camping and RV shows are the most prevalent although some popular shows take place in the fall too. But in the Midwest where I live, most camping and RV shows take place in the first few months of the year. Here's my top 11 reasons why you should go to one, or even two or three!

1) It's a way to get your mind off winter, the cold, and the snow for a short time. While you're at the show, you'll be thinking of summer, sun, green trees, and campfires; not shoveling snow or wearing 12 layers of clothing in an attempt to stay warm.

2) You get to be around really nice people. People who camp and RV are, for the most part, really friendly and outgoing. While at a show last weekend I had people joking around with me and striking up conversations about camping and the campers we were both looking at. It's a fun environment.

3) Comparison shopping. At the larger shows there are literally hundreds various campers and RV to look at. You can go inside them, look around, and talk to the dealers about each one's pros and cons.

4) Discounts and Freebies. The dealers and exhibitors at the camping and RV shows want people to do business with them during the show and make it attractive by offering special show prices on their campers and RV's; and/or giving additional items with a purchase such as free upgrades, free gas, a free grill, free camping lounge chairs, etc. Most exhibitors have some sort of giveaway. It may be a drawing for a grill, nights of camping or may be free samples of food their selling. The show itself may give away prizes. The latest camping show I was at was giving away a brand new camper to one lucky prize winner.

5) Class A Motorhomes. Whether or not you own a Class A Motorhome now, plan to own one in the future, or think you'll never be able to afford that luxury, it's worth the price of your admission ticket to tour the luxury Class A motorhomes at the shows. I toured three at the last show I was at. The nicest one had a $400,000 price tag. It was gorgeous. I overheard one woman saying the kitchen was much nicer than the one in her home. I can understand why she said that. The kitchen area in that particular Class A motor home had solid cherry cabinets, solid surface countertops, and tile flooring.

6) The Seminars. Even if you aren't a camping enthusiast you may find the seminars offered at most of the shows to be of interest to you. The seminars are usually short in length, 30 minutes or less, but are packed with interesting information. The latest one I attended talked about some of the best vacation destinations in my state, the most scenic roads to drive, the best nature areas to visit, and some of the most unique and weirdest places in the state. I've lived in the state all my life and I didn't know about several of the places I was told about. I now have some new weekend getaway and vacation destinations.

Now that I've given you my six top reasons to attend a camper or RV show, get out there, go to one, and have a great time.

Online casino affiliate marketing tips increasing your commissions

If you have joined one of the plethora of online affiliate programs in the hope of earning a fortune and the dollars aren't quite rolling in yet, you may be considering it a waste of time. However before losing all faith in the system, there are a number of ways in which you can turn your site into a moneymaking forum once again.

Online affiliate programs can sometimes be an unpredictable venture. There are vast amounts of money available to be made, but unfortunately if you aren't getting any of it then that is small comfort. However never despair because with a few small changes you can start building your site in no time. They don't require spending huge amounts of money or investing days and days of work, but just a bit of careful marketing and some well spent effort can make all the difference.

Firstly you may consider changing your affiliate program. The larger an industries potential clientele, the greater the chance of taking a chunk of it. Online gaming or casinos as they are better known to you and me, is a thriving industry that turns over billions of dollars each year. Like the entire online gambling industry, casino gaming has experienced unprecedented growth since it's inception. Each year more and more people join, making more and more cash for the casinos and their affiliates.

The casino affiliate program is a busy marketplace, but where there is a large audience it shouldn't matter how many affiliates are lining up to take their custom. One of the primary reasons why it is such a large sub-industry is because casinos are notoriously generous with their payouts to successful affiliates. A casino affiliate can earn upwards of 35% of a players lifetime money generated for the site, meaning each time that a player they recommended plays and loses, you get a chunk of it.

As a casino affiliate you must then start considering your own marketing for your affiliate site. If you don't appear on a search engine list or anywhere else on the Internet how can you expect customers to find you? Through careful advertising on online search engines or through blog entries and forum posts a site can generate an extra traffic flow. After all in a business as variable as affiliate marketing you need plenty of traffic to maximise your chances of getting valuable clicks on your links.

To make a success out of your casino affiliate program you may also need to tantalise and tease your visitors. If you have built your traffic and signed up to a profitable affiliate program, the last thing you want to do is lose their interest when they reach your site. Through emotive language and advertising the casinos exciting offers and opportunities you can grab a person's attention. As an affiliate it is your job to essentially sell the sites that you represent, therefore you may want to choose the tone of a salesman. But remember that nothing is guaranteed, there are ways in which to optimise your opportunities, but no sure-fire remedies. A little hard work, careful advertising and most of all a dash of luck and you can be riding the crest of the casino affiliate marketing wave.

Take a romantic getaway on exclusive catalina island

Vacations are for getting away; getting away from work, stress, and for you over-worked parents: the kids. So this next vacation, leave the kids at home and take an inexpensive romantic getaway on the island known as The Island of Romance: Catalina Island. This exclusive island off the coast of California is offering visitors packages and discount rates from April 1 to June 15, 2006.

Romance Getaway packages include round trip boat transportation, accommodations, and include other bonus gifts such as free champagne and chocolates, spa treatments, sightseeing tours and complimentary breakfast. The room rates start as low as $154 per person.

Catalina Island is located just 22 miles off of the coast of Los Angeles. It has been inhabited for nearly 7,000 years beginning with the Gabrieliсo Indians. The Spanish explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo became the first European to visit the island in 1542, and since then the tiny island has changed ownership several times and is now owned privately

In the late 1880’s, George Shatto, the owner at the time decided to turn Catalina Island into a notable tourist destination. It was he who had the idea to build the town of Avalon, which remains the islands only city and main hub of activity. To bring in the tourists, Shatto constructed golf courses, and hotels galore. He also encouraged people to go hunting, and to pursue other outdoor activities.

Today, the island still maintains its historic beauty. Though it contains all essential utilities such as electricity, water and phones, it obtains its drinking water by collecting rainwater in specified areas throughout the island. The water is then purified and piped to the towns of Avalon and Two Harbors.

The island, which is the closest island to the mainland, is easy to get to and offers an appetizing array of activities and special events throughout the spring, including:

* Jewels of Avalon Tile Walking Tours

* Earth Day Celebration

* 12th Annual Catalina Island Rugby Festival

* 1st Annual Catalina Island Hoe-Down

* 19th Annual Silent Film Benefit

* Conservancy Summer Naturalist Programs

Avalon, the island’s only city, offers a unique romantic setting that is part of Catalina’s Mediterranean charm. Many of the hotels on the island have in-room fireplaces, whirlpool Jacuzzi tubs, private balconies, and ocean views.

Historic stock prices - what can you learn from the stock market s history

With the popularity of the stock market today, many people are wondering about the historic stock prices and what that signals for future investments. Here’s a brief synopsis of the general trend of the market since it’s inception, and the method you should use to invest your money in the future.

The stock market has historically averaged a 12% overall increase each year. This is obviously very good when compared to the return you’d get from putting your money in the bank or a long term savings bond.

Therefore, you can look at these historic stock prices and conclude that just throwing your money into a mutual fund is a wise long term choice. Actually, nothing could be further form the truth.

You see, there is a lot of misinformation on investing today. Since the stock market has historically averaged a 12% rate of return on investment, many people view mutual funds as good investments. This is because mutual funds spread out their holdings, and will tend to mirror the market as a whole.

Actually, this can be disaster. Many people have lost small fortunes by keeping their investments a mutual fund long term, and here’s why.

Lets’ say you’ve been investing money in a mutual fund for years and years, and it’s paid off nicely for you with a 12% return. However, you never know when the next stock market crash is going to come.

Here’s something many investors don’t know-people are required to start taking their money out of their 401K once they reach 70. With the tremendous amount of baby boomers set to retire, you combine that with the fact that the vast majority will be taking out a substantial amount of money to live on, and the stock market could very well be headed for the biggest crash in history.

We are likely still a few years off from this potential catastrophe, but it’s coming in a hurry. Therefore, if you have your money tied up in a mutual fund when this crash occurs, you can literally lose a whole lifetime’s worth of investment with one fell swoop. This has happened to many people who were told their money was secure in a mutual fund, and it can easily happen to you.

The bottom line, don’t trust others with your finances. Do your own research, become financially educated, and you will be able to spot hidden opportunities that the vast majority of others miss out on.

While the historic stock prices have generally show good rates of return, it doesn’t take much to wipe out a whole portfolio. Make sure you know what to look for when you enter the exciting world of investing.

The sweet taste of success

Writers are an interesting breed of humanity – they can make us feel joy, sadness, anger and empathy. Sometimes they can cause us to feel all these emotions simultaneously.

There are certainly more lucrative methods of gaining an income, yet everyday thousands of individuals will sit down at their keyboard pounding out a story that may never actually be published.

There is a creative energy required to create a meaningful story. It is hard to invest that energy into a story if there is a feeling the story has no chance of success, yet writers will do so.

What motivates a writer to spend their time and talents on something that may bear little fruit?

The answer is found in a quote from author Isaac Asimov, “I write for the same reason I breathe -- because if I didn't, I would die.”

For many writers the reason stems from the fact they have a story in their mind that won’t leave them alone until the story is drained onto the written page only to be replaced by a new story that requires telling. The story might be for the author alone or it might be for a larger audience.

Many writers are not in the market to be famous, they simply agree with the sentiments of Franзois Mauriac, “Each of us is like a desert, and a literary work is like a cry from the desert, or like a pigeon let loose with a message in its claws, or like a bottle thrown into the sea. The point is: to be heard -- even if by one single person.”

When there is a drive to say something important it is also important to have some hope that your words were ‘heard’ by someone who was encouraged or challenged by those words.

Sometimes the joy found in writing is simply in reaching the end of your story. Famed Novelist Tom Clancy stressed, “Success is a finished book, a stack of pages each of which is filled with words. If you reach that point, you have won a victory over yourself no less impressive than sailing single-handed around the world.”

Most writers do not begin writing with the hope of becoming incredibly wealthy. They begin because they often have no choice. Writers will rarely receive back even minimum wage for the overall body of work they produce, but it is a burden they carry gratefully and are willing to allow others to consume their work one tasty thought at a time.

For many writers this is success enough.

About alternative health supplements

These days, there are plenty of pills out there offered by your local pharmacy to cure what ails you. But you can never be too sure that the products pushed on us by the food and drug administration are the best thing for you. A lot of these pills have side effects, and some of them are not tolerated well by certain people.

To that end, there are numerous alternative health supplements offered that can help your body get into the best shape it’s ever been. Here are the facts on some of them:

Coral calcium - This supplement is great to help your body. You probably know that your body needs calcium to maintain its bones and teeth, but most people don’t realize that you need a certain level of calcium in your bloodstream as well.

If you don’t keep replenishing this calcium, your body will begin to sap the calcium from your bones and teeth to maintain the level in your blood. This can result in bone and teeth shrinkage, and can make them brittle and cause movements to be painful. Coral calcium is a source of calcium that surpasses most of the others. Available in supplement form, coral calcium can be a great buy.

Another one of the alternative health supplements offered is fish oil. Harvested from fatty fish, this oil contains substances known as omega-3 essential fatty acids. Containing the fatty acids DHA and EPA, fish oil has been linked to memory improvement and general brain health, considering DHA is a substance that needs to maintain its presence in the brain. Also, the American Heart Association recommends that you take fish oils to help maintain heart health. It can help to decrease your risks of heart disease or cardiac arrest!

These are two of the alternative health supplements offered these days that can help lead your body to great health. Hopefully they can help you!

Mortgage leads for new loan officers

If you are a loan officer and you are new to the business, one thing you may be short on is leads.

Leads can be obtained in many ways. Through customer referrals, networking groups, family members, friends, etc.

However, for a new loan officer, you may need to jump start your business, and investing with a mortgage lead company may be the way to go.

You probably haven’t heard many good things about mortgage lead companies. However, there are some good ones out there. And if you take your time and do your research, you may just find the right one for you.

Here are a few things to avoid:

Avoid the mortgage lead companies that recycle their leads. Recycling means they sell them over and over again.

So, most likely these leads have gone through the hands of dozens of loan officers before reaching your desk, so steer clear.

Stay away from lead companies that buy their leads from third party companies than sell them to loan officers at a profit.

You never know how many times those third party companies sold those leads to other mortgage lead companies.

In the beginning, your budget may be a little bit tight, so look for lead companies that allow for a low minimum deposit.

Also, look for lead companies that obtain their leads through sites they own and operate on their own. This is always a good indication that the lead is of good quality.

And look for lead companies that sell real time mortgage leads, and/or sell them exclusively. When you buy your leads exclusively you can cut out your competition.

Real time leads are also known as fresh leads, so they are hot off the press once you receive them. With real time leads your closure ratio will be much higher and the return on your investment will be that much better. And why shouldn’t it be? You work hard for your money.

3 simple steps to dramatically improved writing

Amateur writers write for the sake of writing. While this may create copious amounts of inconsequential content or provide them personal pleasure, it does nothing to increase business prospects, improve the world, or move their audience to take action.

So what is the goal of great writing, and how can it change your presentations? Professional writers always have one main goal in mind with everything they write: to transform their audience. Great writers strive to help their audience see through different eyes, act differently, change the way they interact with the world.

Anyone can throw words together and make complete sentences (case in point: most of the blogosphere), but if you want to actually have impact through your writing, you must learn to write for transformation. It's the difference between being merely informative and being compelling and persuasive. There are three simple steps to transformational writing: 1) writing for a specific audience, 2) using the right venue, and 3) choosing and executing the right type of transformation (there are three).

1. Specific Audience

If you want to reach your audience, it’s absolutely crucial that you understand them, get out of your own perspective, and write to their perspective. One of the first things I do with every piece I write is identify my target audience, things such as age, gender, race/ethnicity, location, income level, purchasing habits, hobbies, talents, interests, etc.

When I know who I’m talking to, I’m prepared to custom tailor the message to resonate with them specifically. For example, words such as “revolutionary,” “cutting-edge,” “fresh,” or “in vogue” will more likely resonate with an 18-25 age group, whereas a 60-70 age group will probably have negative reactions to them, who prefer things that are “proven,” “safe,” and “sensible.”

2. The Right Venue

By venue I mean the medium used to convey your message, including such things as magazines, newspapers, journals, books, radio and TV ads, blogs, websites, etc. The venue you choose is, in large part, determined by your audience.

For example, if I’m writing a lengthy article on monetary policy intended for scholars and economists, the best venue is probably a scholarly journal. Few people can stand to read long blocks of meaningful text on a computer screen, I probably won’t have enough space to make my case in most magazines, etc. On the other hand, if my content is concise, simple, and intended for a broad audience, perhaps a newspaper article makes sense.

All of us are exposed to written communications that we skim or ignore, yet if that same message is presented in a venue more palatable to us, we’re much more likely to spend time reading it. Writing for transformation requires utilizing the best venue for our subject matter and audience.

3. The Right Transformation

There are three types of transformations: know, feel, and do. A know transformation seeks to give the readers new information, or old information arranged in a different way, to help them to learn and know things they didn’t know before, in such a way that changes their life and perspective. A feel transformation obviously seeks to evoke strong emotion in the audience, while a do is designed to get an audience to take very specific, immediate, and tangible action.

Amateurs look at this list and try to do all three; professionals focus on one and nail it, because doing so affects the others. How do you want people’s lives to change because they read your message? What do you want to see occur in them? Do you primarily want them to know, feel, or do something? Pick one–yes, just one–and execute it well, and the others will take care of themselves.

If you want your message to actually have impact, you must learn to write for transformation. Know who you’re writing to, use the right venue to reach them, and choose the right transformation and execute it well. After all, transformational writing is the only writing worth reading.
